| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/13/2008 10:55:50 PM | | *Looks at the black cat laying on the computer table between the keyboard and the monitor...* Maybe you have something there... who knows. Another valid question, who is truly in charge because here I'm going to work, feeding it, giving it shelter, etc... and it just lays there? Sometime it sharks me when it wants something... So could it just be coincidental? | |

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/13/2008 11:24:35 PM | | Actually I've found it can work out the same for girls... A few weekends ago I met this girl and we started to hit it off anyway one thing led to another and soon enough I was back at her place. After a few more drinks we moved in to the bedroom where after a little while I started sneezing and my eyes started watering, soon I was having fully blown asthma attack... she had a long hair cat under the bed the whole time, I'm allergic... the night soon ended by her driving me to the hospital and dumping me there! | |

You seem like an intelligent young man. I'm sure you will find a solution and be fully free once again. But you aren't looking at your best assest right in front of your nose......THE DOG! Dogs are chick magnets. Take the dog for a walk in a highly populated girl area, they will flock to you. Leave the freaking cat at home! ~kisses you on the forehead and sends you on your way~

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/14/2008 10:24:07 AM | | If a man doesn' like cats, I don't want him. As far as cat lovers being single forever....well, that doesn't really hold truth in my experience. But certainly I can say that cat lovers are picky.....usually original individualists as well: could be selfish and ego-centric. EphraimGlass is right: you are not single because you have a cat; you get the cat because you know you are going to be single. Lullaby( my cat) and I have endless talks about this being single stuff....he loves it and, amazingly, patiently listens ( better than a therapist, in my opinion: won't get on my nerves) | |

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/14/2008 11:42:15 AM | This "theory" is silly and unfound. I know plenty of men that are married and have a pet cat. lol
A cat obviously cannot replace what a woman can provide a man in a relationship. We are comparing apples and oranges here.

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/14/2008 11:47:25 AM | When my ex and I split, I told him to get a cat for cuddling and company. He did, and within 3 months, he met someone, and within the year, was married.
I love cats, and I can see a difference with men that have cats, and men that don't. I would take a cat man anyday...exept my ex...she can keep him...

*Thrill Ride* - you let me know when you hit the beach there at Metro with the DOG. You're gonna have the girls crawling all over you. You might accidentally let the leash drop, the dog can drag it and run over to the girl of your choice or group of girls what the heck! And to think, my daughter (your age 26), used to live in Michigan a few years ago, darn it anyway! ~lauuugghhinngg~ One other word of advice, if you do want to take her to the dog park........tire her out BEFORE you hit the dog park. She'll have less energy and will be less hyper. Don't limit your options. Until then, keep yourself safe from Satan's child. May the Force be with you my son. ~big grin~
*Bloom10* - GUYS with cats.......not girls with cats. -grins- Cat doesn't care what you are saying.........only acts like it.
*Schadenfreudian* - Now, c'mon! You men don't really want your women to be like cats, do you? You already say we are fickle enough and you don't understand us. ~giggling~
*Gypo08* - Get rid of the cat, quick! You are 10 years older than *Thrill Ride* and in his estimation, he's gonna be single for another 10 years before he's dateable! LOL
*Sabrosura* - Men who MARRIED into "catdom" don't count.
I have TWO big dogs.........men around here love them. The weather is turning for the better..........I have my own dog walking to do.

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/14/2008 1:18:14 PM | No, guys with multiple cats are generally gay, and can't afford the Vet bills on a Rottweiler, or St. Bernard.....they watched way too much Will & Grace, and not enough Clint Eastwood.
That said, I got a cat. And she is a sociopathic killer in all forms.
That cat is worth 5 women I know. She cleans any moving animals other than my dog OUT of the house. Beware gophers, other cats, dogs, squirrels, rabbits (though I try to keep her from those and birds). Crickets, spiders, and other things are a sometimes catch. Beware the Mighty June Bug. They make a helluva mess.
She is a serial killer indeed, and well worth the price, since (A) I didn't buy her and (B) some ***hole kicked her off on my street. The Vet fixed her, and she now fixates on everything that remotely resembles movement, and food.
So yeah, the next time a woman won't stomp a mouse, I remember my cat will eat everything but the heads. THEN I know I got the best **** in the world.......for free.

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/14/2008 1:25:44 PM | i think you have something there, but i think it also depends on the person.
for example, i still consider this my worst date ever :
Guy is not only far older etc than stated, takes me to his house after i say not interested in seeing it but i just "have to meet his cat" Correction 6 CATS. and the nail in the coffin was that one was named "polly pooper". sorry but that just makes me think he prob had a body in the freezer to feel the "darlings". And then tried to give me one of them.
So i have never dated a single guy with a cat, but im a cat person. And i know cat people can be wierd, the question is keeping it in check.

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 4/14/2008 8:57:43 PM | Only if we are lucky... I think those beloved majestic felines are the only p_ssy I want waking up next to me EVERY single morning, in or very near my bed, for years on end! But no your theory doesn't hold true, at least not 100% of the time. An older female friend of mine just got engaged to a 41-yr old guy who was previously single w/cats; he doesn't know what he's getting into w/her yet & he'll yearn for his private times and his cat(s), but......... to each his own. | |

| Do guys with cats stay single forever? Posted: 7/25/2008 4:35:57 PM | I have a cat, am single and know I don't want to be single forever. I also am not actively looking for a serious relationship-spend a lot of time at work. If you live alone its fun having a pet. I got my cat in college because he needed a home. He was hit with most of my roommates-the one that didn't like him was a pretty selfish dude anyways. He went through a lot of girls. I agree with a comment that a cat is very little baggage to overcome--especially a nice one. Women that like cats are crazy about him lol, that is a plus. Only con I face is that I have a lot of friends that are allergic to cats so I have to keep my place extra clean.
You can't be obsessed with the cat or "married to it" that can keep you from get married-problem being your priorities are not straight.
