| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/7/2006 5:39:17 PM | | It seems to me that we have to spread the word about POF. Then maybe us northerners wlll have more friends to talk to. I am from Harbor Springs and I see alot of Canadians on this site but not many from Michigan. Well, Northern Michigan anyway. So spread the word and who knows, maybe we can throw our own POF party sometime. | |

|
| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/9/2006 5:59:21 PM | There was a Yooper Creation Story up in the sault that I seen...
In da beginning, dere was nuttin, den God created da UP.
On da second day, he created da birds, da bears, da fish and da ducks.
On da tird day he created da Yooper to live in da UP.
On da fourth day he created da udder world down below.
On da fifth day he created da trolls, to live in da world below.
On da sixth day he created da bridge, so da trolls had a way to get to heaven
On da seventh day...he went huntin'
*laughs* I think they still sell them at Abners Restraunt a buck a dozen | |

| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/10/2006 12:39:37 PM | | Laffin at the the Yooper story! Have heard it many times but it still makes me laff! Hello All from Gods Country. Been both a troll and a yooper I loved both areas couldn't really pick a favorite. Guess I just love Michigan in general! Even if we do have fat, smoking, dirty air, smelling people! | |
|
| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/10/2006 2:07:47 PM | i have lived in the soo pretty much all of my life but yes i have moved time to time but back in the soo and i am a yooper so northern michigan should be considered there own state cus it basically is not much help from the trolls at all | |

| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/10/2006 2:51:02 PM | I am 30 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge. | |
|
| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/12/2006 10:43:30 AM | Loved the story but dont think of myself as a troll. Lets hear it for Abners I was just there last month. I was headed back to Saint Ignace from Whitefish Point and made a detour there for dinner. LOL I know what a detour but ist one of the best resturaunts I have found in the U.P. and I would say in the top 5 in all of Michigan. As for the U.P. and the L.P becoming seperate states...its been enough years now that its about time you guys up there try doing it again. I wonder what it would be called???? | |

| Northern Michigan Posted: 9/14/2006 7:06:08 PM | What is with the men they too drunk or buzzed to give a damn how us woman feel-the only time they seem to want us around is when they are thinking with their "other" heads, then it's like they say "I think I love you, let's go to bed". They sure don't seem very romantic anyways. That's my opinion. | |

| Northern Michigan Posted: 12/18/2006 7:15:45 PM | | Wow, it will be exactly one year of my life in Montmorency County! Pretty long time for a traveler! I find it kind of strange that I don't have a friend of my age or below. I can never consider myself being anti-social but I guess I'm not of the kind to search for friends in a bar/pub. My colleagues are my friends and the few people I think friendly outside work are 50+! So, yes, I do get a lot of help and support but none to hang out with! | |
