Yes, people live in da north...lol. So when people say lets have a get together...we are meeting in northern michigan and then mean northern cental michigan, I just giggle. Just seems like it was yesterday that we had snow on the ground....well I guess the last blizzard we got the first of April made me wonder if spring or summer would ever get here. I still want to get up to the u.p again before it gets too cold. Id love to see the fall colors up there before they get here...but if not the colors are still beautiful around here. | |

I haven't ruled out looking for a place yet again further north, but for right now, until something is solidly resolved with my Mom downstate( She's developing Alzheimers) and the market picks back up( so I can sell this place without losing my butt) I'm here in NE Mecosta county...with all the other old poor people LOL.
Make no mistake, I'm very happy here. Had I continued to try and live in the GR area after my hubby died,I would be in severe financial trouble by now.

Posted: 11/6/2007 3:45:59 PM | pohlcat, ck out the forum party in mount pleasant . I mentioned having the get to gether in Grayling since Mount Pleasant is closer to other get togethers. We need one up this way. The place in Grayling I was thinking about and mentioned on here has a motel next door, The bar is huge, shaped like a big barn. It is called The Ole Barn.
