Her friends might wonder where she went..
Hanging out with a lucky gent.
Fullfilling the basic human need.
Of companionship and a bit of a laugh..
Thank gawd she thought to have a bath..
Or things might have gotten a little ripe..
And the date might'nt have lasted the night..
But it did last and her fella was glad..
That the company and exchanges were'nt half bad...
So far, so good for this thing I guess..
With good humour and exploration at it's best...
And although this ditty is worthy of pity...
It can't hold a candle...
To the one with the artists 'handle'
She has depth, she has spirit...
She's an interesting broad...
And one who might prove...
Now this fella's made his move...
That good company is it's own reward...

we are here in a brand new year it would seem
many people here we have all met
and many more to meet here yet
you guys are all wonderful- you have touched my heart
like no one had ever done from the start
i seem to fit in in this silly little thread
and after so long it still isnt dead!
i have been a while on plenty of fish
throwing the bait to land me a dish
but alas i have not found me a friend
seems all the good men already have men (lol)
i hope you all come back to revive this fix

if it werent for him i would have given up the ghost
there would not have been a point to stay and boast
you guys are all the best this i truely mean
now back to the grindstone- or so it would seem
gotta find the man of my dream!

maybe I should venture out
but it's dark outside..lack of light
perhaps I'll just sit on my couch
"weekend' has lost it's flare
I've had too many to count
movies, friends, the county fair
this is what my weekends were about
a break is good, it'll give me some time
to sit at home and relax
the cares of my week will start to unwind
with oreos, m&ms, and cracker jacks
I'm done with this, another one down
these silly poetics of mine
just thought I'd drop in and see who's around
