Posted: 8/15/2006 9:15:43 AM | I'm on Rogers as well, and noticed yesterday that some of the pics were just little boxes with red x's. I tried right clicking and clicking on show pictures, but nothing comes up. When I first logged in this morning, things were fine, as yesterday. A while later, the pics started to not show. Perhaps it is a server error and not an ISP error. I noticed there has been a lot of people logged in at the same time. Just a general slow down perhaps because of people trying to access the site?
Just a thought. I know we have the same server troubles at certain times during the day at work. Mornings are fine, but around the afternoon when everyone and their grandmother are online, things are about 10 times slower.
Pictures always take more time to load. The few that are showing up are those that I've clicked on before, and are probably in my cache.
But, I'm not officially a tech.

PS: Even the PoF header dissappears into a little red x on different pages around the site. | |

The webmaster has posted in regards to this problem already. Read from Msg. 40 onward. The problem has already been forwarded.

Posted: 8/16/2006 4:38:25 PM | seems as if i'm having the same problem as other ppl.....the POF page comes up wonky for the last cpl of days...the thumbnail pictures don't show up, and in their place is a littel red x in the top corner of the thumbnail. My ISP is bell sympatico. Any suggestions as to how this problem can be fixed.

From what I have read, it looks like the webmaster believes it's a problem with Bell servers however it appears that many people are also experiencing this problem that are not on sympatico..an update from the webmaster in regards to other ISP's would be appreciated as this is getting rather frustrating. I find I can log in sometimes and it's okay and the other 50% of the the images stop loading correctly. It seems to happen in the middle of a log in session as well.. | |

Posted: 8/17/2006 8:40:05 AM | I've been having problems with images for the last couple of days. I finally did some research today and here's what I came up with.
images.plentyoffish.com DNS is WRONG and pointing to cache.peer1.net (this appears to be a catch all address for http://landing.domainsponsor.com*******)
You need to contact whoever maintains your DNS records and have them change the pointer back too the appropriate IP address of your images
