| images not showing up Posted: 9/3/2006 6:12:23 AM | In reading this thread, it appears the problem is with Bell ISP. I am having that problem now since yesterday, in that I can no longer see any images on POF only...other sites are fine. My account is with Sympatico, so is this something that will clear itself up or do I have to do something?

| cannot see who i can instant message Posted: 9/9/2006 6:50:10 PM | Hi When i click on my matches it shows just who is on line why doesnt it also show on the left hand side of my screen who i can Instant Message..there is usually a couple there i havent seen any in 3 days.. thank you | |

| cannot see who i can instant message Posted: 9/9/2006 9:07:03 PM | Firstly, this thread has to do with "Image Problems". Please post your questions in an appropriate subject related thread. See Posting Rules. Thanks.
Secondly, on the left side of your "My Matches" page. All images are evenly distributed across the range of the page width, so I'm not quite sure by what you mean when you say the left side of your page.
Any users who are online will show "Online" under their pictures. Anyone who has their Instant Messenger turned on will show "IM User" under their picture.
I'm assuming this is the page you're referring to? My Matches
As for why there haven't been any on, I don't know? any number of reasons - out on the town on a date would be a plausible reason. My matches are working fine, some online, some IM's, some offline.

| images not showing up Posted: 9/11/2006 3:58:41 PM | Well, it was working for awhile, but again, there are pics I can't see (I can usually see 1 or 2 at the top of the screen, but the rest are x's) Again, here is the DNS 192.168.2.1 | |
|
| images not showing up Posted: 9/12/2006 7:47:47 AM | I'm not getting current images of the people (women) on line. I get my current messages, and I can access the IM feature. But when I go to "My Matches" I get a standard selection of images of people who have been on in the last six or seven hours and none seem to be currently on line. Is the problem mine or is it at your end? I've re-booted twice to no avail.
Thanks, Ken | |

| images not showing up Posted: 9/12/2006 7:55:53 AM | | When I click on Run and type in CMD and hit Enter, I get this message,"Cannot find file'CMD' (or one of it's components). Make sure that the path and file name are correct and that all required libraries are available." So what do I do now? | |
|
| images not showing up Posted: 9/12/2006 8:17:22 AM | | The images that are showing on 'my matches' are from around midnight on the 11th/12th. And I know that at this time (8:24 AM-PDT) there are more images available than I'm seeing. | |

| images not showing up Posted: 9/15/2006 1:37:39 PM | I, too, have images not showing up in some places. EG, On "Your New Matches!", None of the women have pictures. Also, on my Favorites page, no pictures of the women. I don't believe they all suddenly deleted their pictures.
So I got a bit technical and tried the relevant URLs with a very primitive browser that lets me see what's going on.
1. One of the "invisible" pictures is http://images.plentyoffish.com/thumbnails/34/walsall_dating_6356295.jpg
This gives:
HTTP/1.0 302 Found Date: Fri, 15 Sep 2006 20 26 GMT Content-Length: 172 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Cache-Control: private Set-Cookie: Domain=; path=/ Set-Cookie: Domain=plentyoffish.com; path=/ Set-Cookie: RefPage=; path=/ Set-Cookie: RefPage=0; path=/ Set-Cookie: SessionHitCount=; path=/ Set-Cookie: SessionHitCount=1; path=/ Set-Cookie: ActionsTaken=; path=/ Set-Cookie: ActionsTaken=D ; path=/ Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727 Location: /alternate.aspx?ar=IMAGE+REQUEST&a=plentyoffish.com Via: 1.1 webcacheB08 (NetCache NetApp/5.5R3D3)
Object moved Object moved to here .
This means that the POF server has redirected the request to a URL which is NOT a picture.
In contrast, if I look at a person's picture in this forum which Is visible, such as http://images.plentyoffish.com/thumbnails/31/xmxwra45z0_4686345.jpg I get
HTTP/1.0 200 OK Age: 1120941 Accept-Ranges: bytes Date: Sat, 02 Sep 2006 21 40 GMT Content-Length: 1874 Content-Type: image/jpeg Cache-Control: max-age=2592000, pre-check=31449600 Last-Modified: Mon, 29 May 2006 23 54 GMT ETag: "b0694d1d7683c61:919" Server: Microsoft-IIS/6.0 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET X-Cache: HIT from ldn-ch-4.cdn.peer1.net X-Cache-Lookup: HIT from ldn-ch-4.cdn.peer1.net:80 Via: 1.0 ldn-ch-4.cdn.peer1.net:80 (squid), 1.0 webcacheB01 (NetCache NetApp/5.5R3D3)
ÿØÿà This means that the POF server has simply supplied the data like it's meant to.
CONCLUSION: POF has a software/configuration issue. | |
