I used to have pics appearing, now many but not all of them appear as just red x's.
it sounds to me from the forum that this is a tech glitch at your end since other users seem to be having the same prlblem as me. note that this red x appears even up at the top where another graphic used to appear.

The RUN button can be located on your START MENU. Start working from there.

I have had absolutely no problem with photos on this site. So it does appear to be a problem with the end user meaning PC of origin.

Have you read the whole thread?
My guess would be no. Admin notes pertinent information throughout the thread as well as Moderator Ticketoride. See Msg. 123 about ISP's aka Internet Service Providers.
Furthermore when checking random profiles from people with problems in this thread for the most part I have noticed it seems to be coming from the southern ontario areas. I have Shaw Cable in northern ontario so it has not become an issue as of yet.

Windows 98 and XP . Click "Start" button. A menu will pop up. Look at it carefully. the "Run" command is there. Click on it and a dialog box will pop up. Type ipconfig in that dialog box.

Like I said in a post in a different area of the board: if I click one of the pictures I get sent to a link site giving me alternatives to PoF.
Seems to me someone hijacked the IP of the picture server and making it link to their link site to get hits and make money that way.
Anyway, I have the "no picture showing" problem only on PoF. Everything else works okay. So I'm not going to attempt fixing anything on my end. I know better. | |
