| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/6/2006 7:38:35 PM | Awww shucks,... I'd better go for the counter poem. Hmmmmmm let's see. Something cute and inspirational too.
Roses are red, and Violets are blue, No wait! That's much too corny for you! Iris are purple and Sunflowers white,... Man that still does not read quite right!
Since this poem of fun and romance, Wasn't written to get in your pants, Merely to point out the irony, Of selling sex and love on TV!
So glad that you liked what you read, That before I rest my sleepy head, Just wanted to say thanks to you, I sure enjoy the poems you do!
Okay,.. I'll catch ya later!

ERIK'S BAND OF MERRY VIKINGS!
Square sails in the twilight, Square sails on the sea, Sailing on through midnight, Singing songs of glee.
Let me introduce now, Our big viking band, Weighing close to a cow! Sven is quite the man.
And then there is Olaf, No one understands. And our "token Berserk",... The drooling Halfdan!
Thorgrim has a big axe! Magnus has a bow! Hakon makes bad attacks,... We keep him below.
Erik loves the ladies, Bjorn just loves the gold, Hans is into slavery,... some captives get sold!
In your sleepy village, So close to the sea, We have plans to pillage, Everything we see!
Slavery not your liking? Really don't like fire? Lo beware the Viking! When Erik's inspired!
- Erik -
Nu skal vi se! Hope you like that one! A naughty little viking theme to keep with the Nordic and Ships request! Take care! Har det godt!
- Erik - BTW- Thanks about the hat!

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/10/2006 4:08:26 AM | This one is for a special friend in Adelaide. < For folks in West Virginia that has nothing to do with Kool-Aid. Anyway, on to the poem.
For Kate, Keep smiling!
I have a friend who's Oh so sweet, She's funny, and bright, and fair, She lives "Down Under" in the heat, And has her little ones there!
The smile on her face had faded, Since Ginger has went away, And although you might feel jaded, She could still come back one day.
Meanwhile you still have friends on here, Some of them to your liking, We shall all keep you amused dear, Especially the Viking!
So if you come to the site now, And hear all the folks whining, There is no need to have a cow, My armor is still shining!
And although Aussies talk funny, "Bob's your Uncle!" you might say, We'll always cheer you up honey, Good bye, or best yet, "G'Day!"
For my friend Kate! Hope you find it to be "Fair Dinkum Mate! - Erik -

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/11/2006 2:04:08 AM | A recent question by some women I know, coupled with accidentally seeing a neat little thread about romance, inspired my mind and I decided to write this little poetic guide! Hope ya like it!
How do you know?
Some women asked me what is romance? Chocolate, gifts, the dead end of plants? Is it the words that men like to say? Do they seek love? Or just a quick lay?
What is romance? How do you know? Is it seduction, passions we sow? Is it the kissing, touching, and talking? Will it end well, or will he keep stalking?
If you are friends before you are lovers, Does that ensure that your heart is covered? What is true love? Hidden in fogs? Or is that only from cats and from dogs?
Well all you ladies, who I know so well, Here are some clues, to help you to tell: When he's in public he holds your hand, longing for closeness you'll understand.
When he's with friends, brags, "That's my girl!" Letting them know that you rule his world! When you are tired, when you are sore, His touch is soothing, because you need more.
When you are upset, need him to listen, He sits and nods, without any b*tchin', His smile lights the room when he sees you, His eyes never wander, a pretty good clue!
He shares with you thoughts and feelings too, You know what he likes, and what he'd do, It's in his eyes once locked with yours, It's in a kiss that reassures,...
There are so many ways to express, Feelings a plenty, feeling quite blessed. So when he opens his heart to you, That's when you'll know the love to be true!

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/11/2006 8:59:30 PM | Someone in an e-mail asked me if I ever do lymrics? Well of course I do! A poet should be versitile,.... oh,.... and I should be too! hahahahaha,...
Plenty of Fish is the site, That I like to visit at night, The women are sweet, The Forums are neat, I hope that I get this one right!
There once was a sexy young Dane, Who had women much on the brain, He posted and wrote, Each poem and quote, His passion for them was innane!
Erik the Viking was to the liking, Of many a maiden so fair, They liked his wits, And he liked, um,... their eyes! Hehehe,... The way that he liked to share!
Erik had fun as he stood in the sun, In the warm Florida water, With girls on his mind, He hoped yet to find, A girl whom to be with he oughtta'.
So yes I do write some lymrics! ( I never promised they'de be great lymrics now! hahaha ) Anyway, enjoy and have a great day!

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/12/2006 12:18:43 AM | For a friend in need of a smile.
Sometimes the sun is shining, But inside things are dark, and you find yourself pining, For blessings in your heart,
Remember all of the good times, And friends who make you smile, And keep on praying that this ryhmes, Reading it all the while,
Never let life get you down, Without standing back up, Remember that friends are around, To keep refilling your cup,
And when you feel the sunshine, Warming you from within, Know you're a friend of mine, Now please let's see that grin!
Hope you like that one! - Erik -

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/12/2006 10:01:15 PM | "And then he who was hight Skjold, Son of Odin, borne of the Wolf, Boughers of Ash that ringed the old glade, "Stand and be seen, Thralls of the kings, Gather ye hence, and my lips hear,
Long have ye strove, the eagles to feed, On carrion once thy kin, The Ettin's laugh, that ever divided, The children of men are foes to themselves!
See ye the weak, who call themselves thewfull, Never the Crown again to wear, Hear ye this vow, Given by Gods, My lips with thee to share,
None shall ever thwart Odin's will, In ruin will stand all those unheeding, By sword and Axe, and Spear his hand, Shall guide my host to thy heart!"

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/12/2006 11:05:03 PM | Gefjon ploughed, the virgin's queen Mother of kings And hosts unseen
Oxen of 4 heads from giants Sons they were And born from sweat - not science This island, now called Zealand
Odin's words to Loki brash Do not anger Gefjon so For each man's journey on this earth As well as me, she knows
Disguised as beggar Often seen And yet lives on, this aged queen

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/14/2006 9:11:42 PM | WHO WILL?
Who will sing for me when the shadows fall? Reaching out to take my soul, silent in the hall.
Who will dance with me when at last I fail? Who will share with others the wisdom of my tale?
Who will stand with me, when the darkness comes? Who will watch me rise again to fill my weary lungs?
Who will lay by me, body fully drained? Who will softly brush my locks and thus ease the pain?
When the Gods do summon me back across the sky, Who with saddened heart will stop and then wonder why?

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/14/2006 11:17:23 PM | For a Special Friend!
Sometimes when I cruise the site, deep in thought so late at night, someone sexy grabs my eye, and I stop to drool, no lie!
And if she is really hot, maybe showing what she's got, Then my body comes alive, labido in overdrive.
Read the profile, see the pic, try to think if we would click? But most times after I look, Like the cover, hate the book!
Still sometimes I get lucky, and she's more than eye-candy, Sometimes she is really sharp, Oh be still my beating heart!
When you see that special one, And the flirting has begun, Just remember this my friends, Because on it much depends,
If you really get along, and it seems it's going strong, Don't you even hesitate, Let her know that she is great!
Make sure that she understands, On her time you'll make demands, because any fool can see, Loving her is meant to be!

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/15/2006 11:04:14 PM | -SHAMELESS SELF PROMOTION-
My profile pics are lots of fun, I look like I'm from Capitol One, Women say that I'm real funny, Goodie 'cause I want a honey!
Barbarian though I look, Dont judge the cover, read the book, Five languages I do speak, Though my maths a little weak.
One and One I know make two, And that's what I want to do, If you like that I am smart, Just wait til you win my heart!
And if you do think I rate, And we wind up on a date, I'll make sure that you have fun, Hopefully you'll prove the one!
But if we are only friends, Mark these words you can depend, No matter what we will be, Close for all eternity!

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/16/2006 6:54:18 PM | THE ORDERING OF THE ELEMENTS.
By the elder Gods was it known:
Fire was given to enlighten the wise and burn the fool, Ice was given to seal the water and freeze the naked, Water was given to flow eternal and quench the thirsty, Yet still it drowneds the over thirsty, Light was given to feed the eye and blind the gazer, Dark was given to weave dreams and nurse secrets, Wind was given to lift birds skyward and cool the eternal star, Yet also it is the bringer of storms, Lightning was given to rend open the heavens with battle-mark, Thunder was given to shake the earth and wake the giants, Earth was given to grow life and house mortal man, Yet still it sometimes shakes in anger.
So are the elements ordered.

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/19/2006 7:29:03 AM | - The Person Behind the Name -
Sadness that fills your heart, the things you've lost that once you believed in, the illusions of permanence shattered, the men who failed you, the people who stood blind, never offering you a hand or a smile, those who lied while you stood in tears, the dreams that faded, the love that never flowered, the time that was stolen, the darkness and empty feelings, so much that others dont see, so much that you hide so well, your quest unfulfilled, but there is yet hope, you are not alone, you are not lost, the eyes of the norse have seen you, have percieved you, understand you, know you, you have only to reach, and a hand shall be there to take yours, you have only to speak, and a friend shall hasten to stand beside you, you have only to wish, and it will be granted, know that you are not alone, know that you are not unseen, know that you are desired.
- Erik - For a special friend. You are more percieved than you think.
