| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/18/2008 2:53:43 PM | goats are really smart, have gotten a bad rap with organized religion, probably because they are so smart, had a pygmy goat named Zeus, he bred eight nannies last year and died happy of a heart attack, mother were all full sized breads, I put them i a ditch and Zeus on the stonewall and he did well, died well, smiling I think. I like the image of them pulling Thor's chariot , slick pulls a goat cart, when I can no longer afford deisel I will happily drive him to the village and back. | |

I forge the life I live I forge the love I give I forge my strongest light I forge my weakest plight
I forge the newest me I forge the mind to see I forge the flowing field I forge the urge to yield
I forge the artwork strong I forge the the word in song I forge the the thunder mood I forge the moon subdued
I forge with hammer blows I forge with heart that knows I forge the stone and rings I forge the line of kings

I've never been perfect But I've been darn good I've never done it all But I did what I could
I don't know tomorrow But I work on today May not be a Master But I know what to say
I cannot beat the world Yet I stand undefeated When others get too cold My body remains heated
My eyesight might need help But my vision is so clear Sometimes the loudest voice Is the one you cannot hear
I once lived in darkness Now I just dwell in the light I never give up swiming For the land is still in sight
Sometimes I act silly But I never act without Whispers from my heart Alleviate all doubt
I've never been perfect But I have been darn good I live life with passion And love the ones I should

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/19/2008 2:01:08 PM | - MANFIRE -
Burning in the sanctum of need Blazing from coals that smoulder in deed Driven to serve but hotter inside Fueled by emotions burning with pride
When the coals are starting to wane Sometimes a fanning is needed again Sometimes a tending would be rather nice Hunger for fuel rather than ice
Honor your mate and serve her well Rage not the pyre driven like Hell But to the mistress stand at his side Tended the fires have never died
Sometimes the scorching comes with a wind Chars from the embers crackling within Never the less it burns for you Tend to your fire, burn the blaze true

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/19/2008 10:10:00 PM | - MAILMAN VS. POSTMAN -
Mailman sounds masculine Like he's the Male-man Like he's got great plans Like he's got big hands
Postman sounds afterthought Like he's beyond prime Like he's just serving time Like he's in decline
Mailman sound sexual Like "lookout house wife!" Like he relieves strife Like he's the good life
Postman sounds past gone Like he's near retired Like he is expired Like he was bad-sired

Just a thought,...
Okay you came here for a poem right? So of course I will deliver. I always do. hahaha,...
- RISE AND FALL OF THE ORCHID -
Look ate the Orchid bathed in delight Flower in purple and yellow and white
Look at the Orchid plucked for a girl Pinned on her dress top, colours unfurled
Look at the giver grinning with pride Oh how she loves it, all misty eyed
Look how the time flew after the dance She in the backseat, him without pants
Look at the rocking as the car's hot Bouncing and steaming there in the lot
Look at the Orchid, crumpled and torn Victim of lust, crushed under porn!
- Erik - Hahahaha,.... That's called a classic Viking romance.

Rehtoric > a statement of colour indicating a flush or blushing condition.
e.g. "The more Rick drank, the rehtoRic got!"

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/27/2008 4:34:59 PM | - THE LONGBOAT -
Waters lap across the prow Spray of winds that whisper death Sea Gods sing with icey breath
Dragon head to guide the heart Licking seas that splash a tune In the black without the moon
Woven spells to guide the bold Oars that send the strake so swift Light to beach and set adrift
On the shore the longboat grounds Wolves of Odin swift to spring Bane of maiden, priest, or king
Plighing swords of fuller steel Swift aground and to the ham There the sleeping folks to ram
Bark of dog to warn them all Arrows swift to silence hound Kill the men and maids be bound
Find the silver and the hoard Taking weapons yet unused Prize of those so swift confused
Then a shouldering at shore Once again the strake at sea Cries of slaves who tried to flee
In the dark the ship then rides Currents speak their names in Norse Guided without sight or force
Behind them the fires rage Castles waken to the sight Far off Hamlet burning bright
Riding forth to save the town Knights and warriors of the king Swift the justice they would bring
But the town is dead and taken Nordic raid on English shore Then they left and there no more
Far across the northern strand In the dark the longboat sails Given flight to where it hails
Oh the sagas that will ring Of the sealords bold and strong Reign of fear three ages long

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 8/30/2008 11:41:40 AM | the faucet
writing poems on POF turned a lifelong trickle into a stream years of ideas gushed out in a rush and now it feels like I've run out of steam but I know it's not so 'cause nothing is dammed it's just that before the ideas were jammed so even if the flow is slow and my cache is small I answer to creative call and writing's all I really ever wanted the nag of the ambition that for decades left me haunted feeling there was something that I had left undone but now the sense of failure has been broken my ambition and my dreaming mind have spoken

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 9/1/2008 5:58:59 PM | - THE STORM -
Hurricane to waste the lands Blotting out the realm of man Winds to show us what is strong Water surge to break the throng
How the tempest causes pain Those who feel the bite again Thoughts of hope and wishes well After storm and water swell
Some say evil but that's wrong Harsh perhaps and over-strong But the storm is fed by man From pollution we began
Stripping off the ozone layer Greenhouse gasses now the slayer Warmer climate more inane Fueler of the Hurricane

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 9/1/2008 6:48:06 PM | Erik dear sweet viking, thank you for the alluring ingenious beat you tap...plundering the soul. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mask of intrigue graces her face; hides her worries, not her past. Aged to perfection; timeless allure. Dance, lady, dance.
Hips undulate to the rhythm of her melancholy; beguiling, tantalizing. Gasping thunder storm swells within.
Beads outline lush curves. Rivulets of sweat drip into screaming cleavage; pierce the calm.
Body sways to night air. Silent music drowns the night. Lost in the reverie of her own making.
Hands mesmerize unclasping a moment. Fingers move in elegant drifts; reach to heaven seeking inner solace.
Motion conveys subliminal messages; gyrating temptress. Music telegraphs into open pores, emitting lyrical scent.
Neck arches with tendrils of strain. Head bows while tears escape. Face tightens as she chants.
Click your heels; reap your destiny! It’s not too late. Seize the dawn; your prime is now, as you dance, gypsy lady, dance.
~M~
I feel another journey calling to me...

| Erik the Viking's Poetry and other gems for PoF. Posted: 9/4/2008 12:17:43 PM | - WHEN YOU LOOK AT ME -
When you look closely at me, what is it that you then see? Do you see a past long gone, or the future growing on? Do you see the eyes of fate, driven to a purpose late? Do you see the right or wrong, weakness maybe or too strong?
When you look at me a while, do you feel the inner smile? Do you see my friendly face, spoken soft the voice to grace? Do you see my harder side, fighting still to quell great pride? Do you see hero or fool, seeming kind or maybe cruel?
What is it that you do see, truely when you look at me?
