| People, of our age, alone...what do our pets say about us? Posted: 7/22/2009 8:59:51 PM | Presently, I have just one large stuffed black bear. In an intimidating crouching position, but nevertheless quite cute, and he doesn’t take too much space on the stair landing.
He does what’s a bear supposed to do. He is fully housetrained, looks at me lovingly when I come home, and scares the sh!t out of any visitors. Doesn’t chew, doesn’t pee, doesn't talk back, doesn't attack smaller pets, and ignores all females in heat. Never tries to sneek into my bedroom and in general, he is quite undemanding. Quick vacuuming and a new bandana every couple of years, and he is as good as new. Best thing, he doesn't shed and the food bill is quite low.
He doesn't get sick, when I take him for a drive, but it takes him for ever to dry out after I throw him into the pool. I was thinking about getting him a few more smaller bears for a company, but it could get messy if a younger cub fights him for the alpha position.
I realize that one day I will have to replace him with a beaver or a small feline, but he will always have a special place in my heart. | |
