First some back-ground info..... my Mother had this habit of blotting her lipstick on whatever seemed to be available. I had been to Detroit as part of my part-time job and had stayed at the Detroit Statler. I had brought a note pad or perhaps an envelope from the hotel which was in the glove box of my car. My G/F got into the glove box one evening while we were out, found the note pad with the lipstick on it and absolutely went OFF. Innocent me, I knew whose lipstick it was, no possibility it could be anybody elses. She would not believe me so finally I stopped at a pay phone and dialed my house and when my Mother answered I handed the phone to my G/F and told her to see for herself. I walked back and got into the car and a couple of minutes later she came and got in. I asked "Are you convinced now? Do you believe me?" She said "yes". I said "thank you" then drove her straight home. That was the end of that. Pretty tame stuff compared to what I have read above but still, my dumbest dump. (so far)
My dumbest reason for BEING dumped happened just a few years ago. We had been in a relationship for about 10 months when we went to Orlando for a few days then stopped in Edisto Island SC for a week on the way back since it was before the tourist season, deserted beach, watch the dolphins playing anytime of day, hot tub in the evenings......... pretty romantic place. Anyway, we get back to Ohio and she decides I should sell my house and move in with her. She had hinted before but now it was sort of like the Nike slogan..... Just do it. Well, I didn't and within two weeks she hooked up with an ex b/f then a couple of weeks after that, dumped me. If half the things she said about him while we were together are true then she is not in a happy place. To this day she does not know that I started dating her best friend a couple of weeks later. Some things are just better left unsaid. | |

He actually didn't shower... that was my reason.
I worked with a guy like that. So gross. Clients would complain of the smell from his office, and the VP would lie and say we were having a problem with the sewage.
He was married, and his pretty wife would cheerfully sit on his lap and hug him. Since she seemed normal, I wondered how she could.
Otherwise, he was the nicest guy, and one of the best at his job. Just reeked, is all. | |

That is not a dumb reason to dump anyone. Sexual compatibility is vitally important in a long term relationship.

Not stupid at all. I can't stand jealousy.

He told me I never wanted to go out anywhere. Total lie and I called him on it. He was the one who never wanted to go anywhere. Me and my friends were always inviting him places.. like to parties, dances or whatever. I told him that if he still wanted to dump me, that was fine, but he wasn't gonna lie about why. Not wanting to date me anymore was fine, but bullshitting about why was NOT fine.
Three weeks later he asked me to a concert.. even offered to have my best-friend at the time come with. Two weeks after that, he took me to a hockey game. I had a great time on both occasions, too. I did tell him I hoped he wasnt trying to get back together with me and he said he wasn't, but that what he was trying to do was make it up to me.
Thought that was nice.
We never got back together either. | |

Shrinks say that people will end up with the person they subconciously deserve.
You gave an explaination for why. Makes sense.
Here is something that may help. Handsome guys and gorgeous gals have no idea how good looking they are.
I spent most of my life thinking I was totally unattractive. Then I divorced, and hooked up with another lady. Her friends kept telling her, in private, what they thought of me. She showed me the emails and IMs. I was blown away.
At first, I thought they were just being polite. But they would send PMs saying, "Congrats! He is hot!"
I had no idea at all. It was the boost my self-esteem needed. At the time when I really needed it too.
Also, you and he likely had no idea how good you both are. Plus, love is more than just looks.

I couldn't take him anywhere, I was too embarrassed, he glowed like a frigging neon sign.
A few years ago -- with a different guy, he wore a kilt. I asked him if he would ever wear a suit to a wedding or other formal function and he said never, he only ever wore a kilt. He even played the bagpipes! Although i think that someone who plays a bagpipe is cool, but come on a kilt??? lol, my redneck brothers would have had a heydey with him!! I'd never be able to show my face in my home town again!  | |

Well that's not true, there's that one seat that has the huge lump where the wheelwell is and... wait that probably wasn't the point of that story 
Believe it or not but I got dumped by a boyfriend of 18 months, because my best friend died in a car crash, and he didn't like seeing me so upset......told me that once I was "over it" to give him a call....I told off and never spoke to him again.
Okay well that may be a dumb reason to dump you, but... geez, that guy's just a monster. At least his dumb reason made a really good reason for you to never speak to him again.
