| Is Intelligence A Curse In Relationships? Posted: 9/28/2008 9:45:07 AM | Too much thinking takes you out of the here and now of the experience.
Guess that depends on what you are thinking about -- like for example how to suffer fools gladly.

| Is Intelligence A Curse In Relationships? Posted: 9/28/2008 9:51:28 AM | My thoughts are that people who are intelligent are attracted to intelligence. However, they have ideas and opinions (a curse of the intelligent) based on thought, research and real information. They do not want to be told how their ideals are wrong nor to have someone force them to agree with something they do not. A sharing of different opinion, even debate, in my experience, is welcomed. Spirited discussions are entertaining. But going from sharing and arguing topics in debate to making attacks on a persons opinions, views and then the persons intelligence for not sharing a like opinion is where the problems seem to come from. So long as both people respect that debate is debate, opinions can be swayed but don't tell them they are wrong, and for gods sake, don't mention that they come from a family of less than stellar people who's attitudes must have rubbed off on them!
Y'know. Unless you want a club upside the head, like......
