| PoF Success Stories Posted: 11/1/2008 1:12:38 PM | | I've made some great friends....that's successful too... | |
|
| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 6:39:10 AM | I was reading the resurrected "how long is too long" thread and thought I would bring this one back too as a reminder that there have been quite a few success stories.
The couples mentioned in the thread are almost all people who attended functions and were active in the forums. I'm sure there are quite a few more who met and established relationships.
A friend of mine met his fiance on this site about two years ago. They never participated in the forums and both deleted their profiles a few months after they met. They are extremely happy together and are getting married this July.
Any more encouraging news?

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 6:53:12 AM | I successfully rejoined POF after an extended self-imposed absence in 2008.
My computer and I are extremely happy.

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 7:34:20 AM | my success was the self imposed abscence...hahahah.....j/k
It is what you make it. You can come here and be happy for what the site contributes or you can take the negative and make yourself even more bitter. Choice is yours!

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 9:56:56 AM | | not sure if it's a success story or not ~ but we've both been on POF "looking" and somehow ended up with each other - and well, its been over a year and a half already since we've been together... | |
|
| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 10:15:03 AM | | I would consider it a success if you are happy. | |
|
| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 11:42:26 AM | Well I don't consider success stories to be only romantically related. Since I've been on POF, I've met and made some wonderful friends that I would not otherwise have had the opportunity to meet. Many of these friendships I'll carry with me forever whether I remain on POF or not. And of course where else could Harley be the adored mascot he is. For those of you who were here back then, this pup truly brought our POF family together for one common cause and prooves how many good people there really are in the world and on this site. And it has given me more time to enjoy his company.
Whether a romantic partner is within the confines of POF is yet to be seen.

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/14/2009 2:57:10 PM | Well I have found perfect matches or so I thought several times however, I have now truly found my heart mate off of POF.
Meeting and making friends from here is one off the best gifts POF gave but the best is my new Love. He is kind, HONEST, gentle and a true gentleman. You would only have to meet him to know he is true and honest. He says what he means and means what he says. I am so blessed to have him in my life along with my fello POFer friends.
You just have to believe there is someone out there. Remember to be true to who you are and always remain honest and all that is good will come your way.
It is not in our time but in God time when good things come.

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/15/2009 5:29:21 AM | I always believed that the people we meet and we have chemistry with can either become friends or lovers. I'm not sure what ingredient goes into the two to make it different. But they are definitely people you want to keep in your life. I've also met some wonderful people on here....both men and women who have become great friends. I met someone very special, and we've been together for a year now....thanks to the Jan 12th event. Well, we had been creating a friendship before that online, and finally met in person at the event....and wow......major chemistry!
Congratulations to all those people out there that have found "the one"!

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/15/2009 11:38:21 AM | | Another pof "success" story......posting in the forums with out being torn to shreds or having spelling or grammar corrected....lmao | |
|
| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/15/2009 11:55:58 AM | ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Hey, your spelling and grammar are just fine.
Trust me, I went over it with a fine toothed comb.
However, I would like to suggest that we have a short discussion regarding proper use of punctuation.......................

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/15/2009 12:19:07 PM | | I was in Mexico last week and bumped into a Winnipeg POF couple while wandering through the small shops in town (go figure...what are the chances?). At any rate, they appear to be really happy. In fact, their room didn't have a fully functional toilet and they were still together...now THAT is love. | |

| PoF Success Stories Posted: 1/23/2009 3:16:46 PM | Lmao! Sad to be back in the cold weather...but still nice to be home. Great running into you; hope you had a fun trip. Just as a point of interest to mykidsdad...you need to catch up on your facts: My travelling partner and I are just friends and have been for nearly a year now. Sorry to disappoint you...but it works better for us this way. Toilet fiasco aside, it was nice seeing a new area of Mexico and visiting with my cousin who lives in Bucerias (just outside Puerto Vallarta). My only advice to anyone thinking of taking a day-long whale watching tour or such: If you have EVER had problems with motion sickness,......take a gravol and bring a couple extra. Don't ask, just trust me on this!!
