Three pages of posts on favourite hockey teams.... and i'm the first to say the CANUCKS!
Halifax has no team in the city. So what it really it comes down to is I was born and raised in Vancouver, and fell in love with hockey out on the west coast. Gretsky was huge "back in the day" he was still playing.the Canucks in the early '90s also had some big playoff excitement (even though they lost). So what if Bertuzzi had some run-ins with the law. The rest of the team had nothing to do with that and people should get over it. Boycotting games my ass. If you love hocky the Canucks put on a good game.
Even though I now live 6000 km away and have to pay for cable on tv to watch the games..... or go convice/battle with bartenders to change the channel to the Canucks game instead of the Leafs game.........Canucks are #1.

I'm the only male in the maritimes who can't stand the sport....
LIES ALL LIES! I too do not care for hockey, I find it to be rather pointless. But then again I find most TV pointless. And most people find my hobbies pointless so we are all with out a point! heh wow that makes me sound negitive.
If I liked Hockey i'd root for Calarodo because they use to be Quebec, and well I don't know.

| Favorite NHL team? Posted: 11/15/2006 9:59:01 AM | LEAFS BABY!!!!!!! It's gotta be them and as of last year I think I dislike the sens most in the league now instead of the Habs. Not because they thrash my leafs every chance they get, but because of all the bandwagon jumpers last year. You couldn't turn a corner without running into someone who was all of a sudden rooting for the sens.....they're pretty quiet these days tho haha | |

| Favorite NHL team? Posted: 11/15/2006 1:37:53 PM | I love the Hab fans that state they won the most cups they are the best team, but when I ask, When was the last time the Habs have actually won their last cup? I know it is not as long as the Leafs, we heard that rebuttal enough. But what was it......... 1993??? Which means they have played how many seasons since then without being able to sip champagne out of that cup????
Well, that may be true but, the MAKE ME LAUGHS (maple leafs) haven't won the cup since 1967, and as a matter of fact, that was the last time they were in the stanley cup finals. I think that you are about the only one here who was alive when that happened. MONTREAL has won 10 cups since 1967,(almost half of the cups they have won in total) of which I've been around for 4, and have been die hard ever since I learned about hockey (around 4 years old) from my father who was a Gretzky fan. EDMONTON has won 5, and CALGARY 1 since 1967. So if you think that your team is or was any good think again. Montreal has also had 3 dynasties to toronto's 1, twice since toronto's last cup. So if you want to go off with some kind of comment like that, you have to be able to back them up. Did toronto even make the playoffs last year, nope.
Go Habs Go!! | |

Montreal may get more fans at their games but they don't always sell out. They can hold more fans than the Air Canada Centre. The Leafs are always over 100% capacity whereas Montreal is in the 90 some odd% range.
Actually last year they sold out every game (100%), (all 21,273 seats per game and set an attendance record) as well as every game so far this season.
I'm not old, I'm just older GO LEAFS GO!!!
Ok, true older. You got me there, sorry for other forums, just love to try and get you going.
