| is exercise worth it? Posted: 3/9/2005 12:51:58 PM | Ive been working out regularly since 1984.I was a member of the old American Fitness center. When that went belly up I took a hiatus from working out.I had a car accident in 1992 and had surgery in 1995.I began working out again at Powerhouse Gym and have been ever since.I can't go more than 2 or 3 days without working out or I get stiff(though not where I want to be stiff) and sore. Working out and being in shape,I don't think it will help you get laid if you're a guy.Women may like the look, but women aren't as motivated by looks as guys are. What it will do is keep you feeling better and looking better and if you feel good about yourself, you will have a better attitude and more confidence which will make you sexier. Also in gyms there are plenty of folks there and you can meet people. The only bad thing I've seen since the 80's is that gyms and fitness centers aren't the pick up and meet places they were in the 80's.The majority of hot babes I see at the gym either workout with boyfriends or they give off "stay away,f*ck off" vibes, headsets with music cranked up and a magazine in their hands as they run on the treadmill.Dadgum shame.Gyms were soooooo much better for meeting people than those ridiculous singles clubs. You saw the women unmade,in good light and sober. Why anyone would prefer a dark, noisy nightclub is beyond me. | |

| is exercise worth it? Posted: 3/9/2005 10:08:54 PM | Why exercise and eat all this health food only to live longer to do more exercises and eat more health food?
(just joking!) | |
|
| is exercise worth it? Posted: 3/9/2005 10:21:38 PM | | Hell yeah !!!!....I would work out for a hour per day !!!...LOL... | |

Even women who are out of shape themselves want a man in good physical condition. I know this from direct experience.

| is exercise worth it? Posted: 4/19/2008 12:19:23 PM | I work out every day because it increases my chances of living longer, having more energy and looking great. | |
|
| is exercise worth it? Posted: 4/19/2008 12:30:54 PM | Well I work out as best I can, but I think that would add even more to my motivation.
As a young man I was a distance runner and also trained with weights for upper body strength. I learned that some ladies like the big muscles but many prefer the more slender look that I had to an extreme. I do remember one young lady's comment, "Don't you ever get tired?" What did she think, when I was running 5-10 miles every morning?

| is exercise worth it? Posted: 4/19/2008 2:43:20 PM | Working out for the purpose of getting laid.... No I wouldn't.
Getting laid has only a small part to do with physical appearance. It is the start, but it is not the be all of sex.
Workout for yourself not for others. You can't live up to others expectations.

| is exercise worth it? Posted: 4/19/2008 2:45:47 PM | It depends, there are a plethora of actual answers to this.
Your TRUE motivation should actually answer the general question.
It depends on how much you want to find the solution to whatever problem you are TRULY exercising for, and is it worth the time investment.
Up to you, after all, no one else will borrow your body to go do the work-outs.

| is exercise worth it? Posted: 4/19/2008 2:57:09 PM | Is getting laid the reason I work out? No. Not losing my job is much higher than that on the priority list.
That being said, at one point when I busted my ankles pretty bad, and could not work out, I got a bit on the chubby/fat side and the interest that women have in me dropped to about nil.
When I work out, it seems to help my sex life. When I got in really good shape about 2 years ago, apparently it was like excedrin for my ex's headaches. When I got a bit o' pudge, she got headaches again.
When I was going thru my divorce (but it was not final) I was working out like a fiend (no $$ to go out after lawyers) and I had to beat women off with a stick. Then I hurt myself by over-running, and did not run for 6 months, divorce finalized, but I had gotten pudgy, and the only women that would look at me were waitresses wanting a tip.

| is exercise worth it? Posted: 4/20/2008 1:07:21 AM | | I workout about 2.5 hours a day 4 days a week religiously and have been doing it for a long time. I don't know if it means more dates but you feel better physically and mentally if you do it. | |
