| How many languages do you know besides English?

i use to be some what in Danish
but my grandparents stopped talkin to me in Danish
i want to learn it real bad though , its very hard | |

If some person want to speak to me ... they better do it in English ... otherwise, don't even think about it. I love it when dumb Asians talk to me in their native language asking for assistance ...   | |

Posted: 2/10/2009 7:06:49 AM | I took 4 years of HS French over 20 years ago. There's very little of it left, since I haven't had the opportunity to practice much here in the States. I know a few phrases in Korean. "Thank you. You're welcome. Do you want to get freaky?" Just the basics.
So basically, no. Just English. | |

I can read Canadian French product labels and I can read and write Irish Gaeilge but I can't speak it.
It is very difficult to speak Irish. | |

Posted: 2/10/2009 9:52:07 AM | ^^^^I have to agree....I've been trying to learn Irish for a while now ! Luckily I have some family that still speak it, and are able to help me out with the pronunciation.
Otherwise, French and English - basic need for living and working in Quebec. | |

Posted: 2/10/2009 10:27:58 AM | I took French for twelve years so I've more or less got that one down. I guess it doesn't make me proficient in Spanish or anything but I can understand a lot of it since French and Spanish are very similar. Currently I'm in the process of learning Mandarin which , as I'm discovering, is a lot like I imagine learning Klingon to be.
Dan shi mei guanxi ... just takes some time. | |
