| The wilderness around you... Posted: 10/21/2006 9:17:14 AM | Earlier this week as I headed in to work, I was driving south on the parkway on the horizon flying due north was a flock of birds as I got closer I realized it was Canadian geese usually considered a nuisance around here - but certainly not that morning, as they got even closer, the veered off to the right and formed into a v and headed south. just like things are supposed to be. | |

When I worked out in Colorado back in the late '80's as a trail guide, we got people from all over the world we took out on trail rides. Striking up conversations with people, when they found out I was from New York, they automatically thought I was from New York City and asked where did I learn to ride in NYC and what was there for wildlife. It was funny that people thought NYC took up the entire state of NY. And when they find out that you're close to the Canadian border, they think we have snow year round and live in igloos. | |
