Posted: 10/3/2009 10:15:15 AM | I do not find platonic relationships between a woman and a man to be unheard of. I have had a strictly platonic friendship with a female or two in my time.
BUT, it is also my experience that a woman (or man) that has ALOT of friends of the opposite sex are, if not just butch (or effemminate), simply just trying to keep their bases covered. What's worse, this also seems to be previlaing wisdom on relationship ... to always have another option at hand, just in case.
That's pathetic, and contrary to prevailing "wisdom", screams insecurity and a slack-willed inability to deal with life issues. | |

I think women with alot of guy friends don't spend to much money at a bar.
this may sound cynical.. but lets face it.. the reason why women have alot of guyfriends is because she has use for them.. one can fix the car, one can listen, one can do driveways etc.
and dont get me started on ex's still being friends.. that is so disrespectfull to a new guy I think. an ex is an ex for a reason like said on here..
my ex had alot of guy friends, wich I absolutely hated.. the funny thing is, when I found a friend on internet whom didnt have a penis, she thought I was cheating on her!! the friggin fights and doghouse crap! never again!!
talk about double standards!
I would love to see a womans face when you invite her over and the room is full of chicks!! 
I have one girlfriend I never slept with, never dated, known her for over 18 years now.. she's like family to me.. although I have to admit, we have kissed on a few occasions when drinking..( yeah I know, I shouldnt have put in the family thing when mentioning kissing lol)
what Im trying to say is.. we get along so good.. and an addition she's nice to look at too.. and yes my mind went in the gutter lots of times.. looking at her curves..
platonic is fine, but it's an illusion.. there is always some sort of attraction. | |

Exactly, and the bottom line is that men and women can't be friends. I can easily be friends with men because I wouldn't fu-ck them in the ass for all the money in the world. | |

i tend to think 'Maybe She likes to keep her options open"
So take it slow, but not TOO slow which is something I learned, because I wound up in the Freind Zone plenty of times and lemme tell you it friggin sucks!
You can be freinds with a girl first, but don't take it too slow not too fast(but you know that already) but not too slow.
and i guess you gotta be sure to use the right words (I'm STILL trying to figure that one out) | |
