Hugs s me!

I love hugs & meet n greet with a hug wherever possible however certain circumstances demand a firm handshake & a polite hello & how are you.

Given the choice I'd hug for sure, everytime.

The power of a hug should never be underestimated!

I do hugs and kisses on both cheek and it means nothing apart from greetings. And if you ever get a hug and kisses on both of your cheek, count yourself as lucky.

If i dont like you i dont do hugs nor double cheek kisses. I wont even look at you.

If i ever kissed you on your left ear.. you'd better run. That is a sign for the police to come and lock you up.

As my parents are 10,000 miles away i greet them via telephaty.
Sometimes via telephone. 'Hi parents.. this is your super gorgeous daughter and you love her more than you love the rest of your children'

i hug all my friends when i meet them. I tell them all i love them before i hang up the telephone...

live is too short not to...Sadly most people only realise it when they have lost someone they really love but its never too late to tell the people around you how much they mean to you...

I am more than happy to hug friends and family. Even new friends can be greeted with a peck on the cheek. Tongues is a totally different issue !

I always hugs my lads. The eldest is like his dad , uncomfortable with open displays of affection so I dont push the issue. The other two are far more tactile...happy to give mum a hug.

I do!
I hug all my mates, male or female, and my boss and the boss's wife and daughter (their Russian and great fun)

I'd hug everyone if I could even the smelly ones!
Cos it makes people happy and feel warm inside ;-)

Everyone needs hugs, to not hug is just plain wrong and I think it should be law to have a least one hug a week.

it depends really - family and close friends all get hugs and kisses but if I can sense that someone isn't comfortable I wouldn't do it

at work the guys, especially bosses seem to go in for the continental peck on each cheek when greeting female colleagues.

not enough of it in my opinion, especially those you are really close to. I have to say Im very wary of those who dont go in for hugs, I dont mind if they dont want to hug me but when they dont want to hug anyone....whats all that about?

I'd be happy to hug most people i reckon [ the odd one I'd rather throttle ] . Depends really, some friends I hug, squeeze , kiss, pick up and jump on top of and others a bit of a high fives/ touching fists etc..... A hug is much nicer though I'd say.

I remember a couple of years ago having Christmas Dinner at a friends house. I used to be with the girl [as in b'friend /g'f ] Her current b'f was there and I didn't really care much for him. In fact he was a drip and turned out to be a nasty drip [ thats another story]. Anyway on leaving and saying our goodbyes I picked Michelle up off the floor and gave her a really tight -hard squeeze. We always hugged on greeting or leaving anyway but I picked her up because he was a little weed and I knew it would pis* him off [ bad aren't I ?] But In doing so I over did things and accidentally cracked three of her ribs Oops ...!!! How bad did I feel ? Very.....

What I can't be doing with is the " Mr Shakehands " character. I feel like an extra sometimes from a mafia movie . There's people who are hung up on shaking hands and must do It for a living or something ! Oh , I could write a book on greetings , tribal handshaking etc......

Hugging is the not only the accpeted form of greeting for my friends but expected! To not hug would seem rude and a sign that something was seriously wrong in some way.

I do not tend to hug when I am working but that's only becuase the bodyarmour gets in the way. When in a social setting then it is long and short hugs for hello, goodbye, good morning or 'I've got you a cup of tea!'.

I'd find it strange that friends did not hug but to the stage that I would think it weird, that's just thier way and good on them if they are happy doing that. Am rather happy with the way that my social group do things and really do not have the time nor inclination to be that bothered about social rules or standing off behaviour.

Hugging feels good for both you and the huggee.

And don't forget motorbikes need hugs too! They run better when hugged in the morning .......... I miss my bike rip girl

*HUGS*

There's something in a simple hug
That always warms the heart;
It welcomes us back home
And makes it easier to part.

A hug's a way to share the joy
And sad times we go through,
Or just a way for friends to say
They like you 'cause you're you.

Hugs are meant for anyone
For whom we really care,
From your grandma to your neighbour,
Or a cuddly teddy bear.

A hug is an amazing thing -
It's just the perfect way
To show the love we're feeling
But can't find the words to say.

It's funny how a little hug
Makes everyone feel good;
In every place and language,
It's always understood.

And hugs don't need new equipment,
Special batteries or parts -
Just open up your arms
And open up your hearts.

I hug and kiss all my friends when i see them... and ive noticed the local teenagers do it ..... it seems they're not so afraid to show affection as we were at that age, and they look out for each other and support each other much more than i think we did at that age.

Don' t know if its because they've had to possibly grow up quicker and are more mature and happy to discuss their feelings but my 16yr old and her friends were in the kitchen a few months ago discussing another girl they know and how she was a bit depressed and not eating at lunchtime or at sleepovers/nights out what they could do for her and had anyone spoken to her mum, and how they had let Mr Neville know (their head of year)........ turned out this young girl was anorexic and they hadnt wanted to break her confidence but took it upon themsleves to do the right thing... i was proud of my girl.
