Not to be rude or outspoken, but no wonder your single, there are hardly any shielas out there, that dont fit into one of your turn offs, this is the new age, all females relate to one of the above for different reasons....
I fall into at least two of those reasons, but most guys dont care, they take you as you are and not be superficial....

Vanity, huge number one for me. It can manifest itself in so many way. Just be yourself and quit going to the bodyshop to have your make-up applied.
If your wearing so much perfume that I can smell you before I see you, I am going to turn and run
Mostly vanity I guess, I can't deal with women that wear so much jewlery that it makes the metal detectors go off at the airport.
If your going to dress like a slut then expect to be treated like a slut. Don't get mad when guys comment on you and your, Uhm, things your showing off. If you don't like it, put some more clothes on.
Thats about it really, everything else I could mention is well, something that is common to everyone. Just be yourself and quit trying to be something your not, especcially when you copy it off of TV or some womens magazine...
OH, edit, one more thing,
Women who use the phrase, "ALL MEN!" That one really pisses me off...

2. Smoking is a turn off, but if they do something that takes away the smell on the clothing and their breath, it's ok I suppose.
3. Possessiveness. I like knowing I'm wanted but to be overly protective when another woman is around gets to be annoying.
4. Foul Language.
5. Promptness. I know most women can't seem to be on time when it's not dealing with work, but I hate having to wait and wait and wait while a woman "Get's Ready" to go someplace.
6. Doesn't share the same interests I have but expects me to like everything she likes.
7. Being asked "Does this make my butt look big?" and then getting mad if told the truth. | |

1. Indecisiveness - By this I mean a woman indicates that she wants something and won't take the initiative. I think an excellent example would be the woman who intensively flirts and doesn't want to do more than flirt (and, no, I am not talking about an instant path to the bedroom). By the same token, it really annoys me when women come up with ideas (small dorky things) but do not want to take the responsibility for executing them (even though I am ready to assist).
2. Promptness - Yeah, I really hate waiting around.
3. Man-bashing - I actually enjoy tongue-and-cheek man-bashing as long as it lacks the edge commonplace to the complaints of Russians griping on the street. | |

Message: Saw a corresponding thread about men and did not find one about women. So I figured it will be interesting to see what reasonable men's opinions are about the turn-offs with respect to women. I deliberately omitted specifying a number for things because of it being so subjective in nature.
So men, what kind of things turn you off about a woman?
For me:
1. Indecisiveness
2. Lack of proper personal hygiene
3. Whining
4. Hypocracy - actions not matching words
There are more but enough to get this going for now.. :)

Women who curse.
Women who are fundamentally very attractive, but choose to molest their faces with studs and piercings. Particularly nasty on mature ladies. Ditch the scrapmetal!
Women who chew gum without closing their mouth.
Women who can't bear to be wrong, and must win all arguments in typical feminine stealth-bomber fashion, eg.
Her: "Why are you late home?"
Me: "I told you, I was out for a drink with my friends, I told you last week, I left a note and I sent a message to your phone telling you I would be late, and I apologise and I won't do it again, I told you."

I think my biggest turnoff for both genders is when people knock other people to make themselves look better.
Most of the things on the lists that I have read apply to both genders. It is a two way street. I am sure that I have some qualities that people find extremely annoying, because I know that they annoy the hell out of me as well. I am anal when it comes to having a job done correctly, and get impatient when it isnt done properly the first time.
Betrayal, be it your partner or your friend never sits well with me.
People who are rude in general.
Poor manners. How hard is it to say please and thankyou? Also, how about chewing with your mouth closed. | |

Posted: 3/25/2007 11:13:44 PM | Not sure where this is going, some of you guys sound like women haters and others are just posting parts of emails that go around endlessly.
There are traits listed that go both ways, we men are not perfect either nor are we the “dominate” sex as we tend to believe we are. When we approach the relationship with the mindset that she is my equal in this; perhaps there is a possibility of success.
I can only cite the things that have been turn-offs with past dates/relationships:
1. The Chameleon – The women who want to blend in with our lifestyles so that they feel like they belong and are safe there. The slippery slope with this type of gal is when she becomes more secure, she’ll demand changes from you. Often she changes back to her normal personality immediately and you are left wondering “what the heck happened?”
2. The Dispatcher – if you have listened to communication between police dispatchers or even air traffic controllers, you will notice the constant back-and-forth acknowledgement that goes on. Well the thing that really turns me off is a women who needs me to sign-on and off every sentence with her with “I (love, need, like, adore, can’t live without, appreciate, etc) you.”
3. The Flashing Light – The coup de gras of all show-stoppers. Simply, it has been said that: True Friendship is when Silence Between Friends is Comfortable. I have been in a relationship where my g/f sat on the couch watching TV and suddenly accused me of not loving her anymore because I was engrossed reading a book. This is the flashing light; the I won’t be ignored person. | |

3. Feeling that WE must entertain THEM, and that their presence is supposed to be enough to entertain us
4. Chivalry over equality
5. Getting pissed off when we don't completely nag at them to tell us what's wrong. If we ask more than twice, we've asked too many times. | |
