| WHY DID YOUR LAST RELATIONSHIP END?
Posted: 4/11/2009 6:11:40 PM | Well I would have to say that mine should have ended sooner then it did but I hung in there hoping things would change but they never did and I got tired of having a GF that would only see me once every 4-6 weeks and was talking to her ex and lying to me.
In the end I realized she was a very depressive person who was not used to a normal relationship. She does not even know how to be a friend. Its a shame but I needed to be with someone who actually wants to be with me. | |

Posted: 4/21/2009 3:11:10 PM | I wish that I could know why it ended. I know that I over-asked that question to the point she didn't want to talk with me for a very long time. Several years later, I brought it up one more time and her answer was so smoothed over that I still don't know. My sneaking suspicion is that that tall and lean yet muscular young man that lived next door might have had something to do with it.... but now I am fairly sure that I will never know.
In a larger sense, this seems to have been characteristic of my life. Women having drifted away without an explanation. Well, except for that time when I was in my twenties, very drunk, and with another woman. I certainly deserved that!
For decades I have worked very hard being a good guy, brave, clean, reverent, financially stable, punctual, truthful, and honest in all ways. I am gentle, kind, generous, and I have been a good father. And I always believed that things were going just fine. Later it would appear that was not true.
So here I am in a fog, still, and wishing that I knew better how to be a better partner - hoping that future relationships will not end, but having no clue as to how to prevent that from happening. | |

Posted: 4/23/2009 3:52:15 PM | My ex broke up with me because he said he felt I was making him pay for the mistakes my ex did to me (he cheated on me). I admit, getting into a relationship does scare me especially with him because he's so absolutely great and I had some insecurities like I wanted to understand why he didn't open up more, but I wasn't the type who would call everyday or bother him about where he's going etc. And honestly, I didn't know he felt that way! He didn't communicate it to me and apparently I'm impatient, which I didn't know either.

Posted: 4/23/2009 4:22:32 PM | | I moved in with my x cuz she was having problems swinging the mortgage from the house she bought with her ex fiancee. then I'm watching my game in the kitchen no less 3 tv's in the house] when during a crucial series she unexpectedly turns the channel to check on another game for her fantasy football team. I balked and we went back and forth then she says.....ultimately it is my house. so much for trying to help her out. it's amazing how someone can go from cool to morally bankrupt so quick. needless to say five days later i had my own place. | |

Posted: 4/23/2009 4:33:32 PM | He was a roid freak, who hid it well for about 2 months then was a mess. It lasted 2 1/2 months.
The one before that was a closet pot head, it ended when we were at a street fair, he saw some friends went to get us some beers and ended up behind a building smoking up and left me on the street for over 45 minutes.
The one before that was my high school sweetheart, he married someone and I married someone, I had gotten divorced and his wife had passed of cancer. We dated for almost a year and it was great, I was very patient with him and his feelings for his wife, I talked him into therapy for him and his children....things were going great, he has asked me to move into his house, I told him not yet as he wasn't over the loss of his wife, he broke up with me the next week and took the women he had been seeing for about 2 months on a vacation.

He only saw me once in a while and I really wanted more than that and all he wanted was sex really. The one before that was a alcoholic , he would get DUI's and go to jail and fall asleep on dates, and he smelled bad because of the drinking, and he would take things from my house and not bring them back. He is now very obsessive and he keeps calling me but I don't want to see him anymore. He also tries to use big words but he doesn't use them correctly which makes him sound stupid.I don't want anyone else like him. He says he is a good guy but not with the problem he has. | |

I still havent figured it out, but then again have stopped trying. Sometimes things just end. No rhyme or reason. Just because you fall in love with someone doesnt mean you always stay that way or vice versa.....
This is the most sensible post I have seen on this subject, thanks.
I would also add that all of my relationships/marriages had one common factor: the basis for and circumstances of the relationship were wrong at the beginning. And in all the cases, we tried to make it work (and in many respects did make it work for a time) in spite of the quicksand that we tried to keep one foot on solid ground; you can do that for so long, but eventually the sand wins...that sounds more negative than I want it to, because there were good aspects in all cases, just not enough for the longest haul. | |

Posted: 4/28/2009 6:00:47 PM | | well how my last relationship end was really mess up and really mess me up, i was dating this one girl and when we dated she was cheating on me with 9 other guys and i didnt care it her life she can live it how she want right i dont controle her life but her step father was thinking other ways about this he pulled me in the room he wanted me to hit her and control and when i refued he got up set he try to kill me and her family i gave her 800 to move away and i got the cops involde her sisters and brother were taking to chid care and it was just me and the guy he got arested and little did i know he was planing this from the start cuz when i left that family the kids cam back to the mother as i promice and i promice that sicko guy i would protect them and i did and when he had me in that rom he said to me when i refued so u think ur and angel i told him no i dont i just think mind over madder and it help me out of things and it did cuz when this 14 year old came up to me abused and her father got aresdet the next day so really that how my realtionship has ended and im scared if i find a girl again the same thing will happin i tired of this | |

Well, his sexual orientation had a lot to do with it.
So did the fact that we do not see eye to eye on many different important life views.
Either of these could have ended the relationship in and completely of themselves, but I think it was really a combination. | |

2. Though we were able to make it work very well throughout university, professional school has demanded a TON more of my time and effort. I was no longer able to invest so much into the relationship. Add this to a one-hour drive between our houses, and, well, you get one unhappy couple. | |

And, not to be mean or anything - but in the end he showed himself as weak. And I love a strong man. He can put his foot down - he knows what he wants - he doesn't have a cape flying out of his butt or anything - but I'm looking for someone damned near amazing! LOL! | |
