For entertainment, maybe host a mini "Fear Factor" go to Price Chopper, pick up some liver, pigs feet, tripe and habaneros....oh, and head-cheese.

Lots of people plan on coming which totally rocks  Parking is what it is....Its in Olathe in a neighborhood, Parking on the street plenty of that, and the neghborhood is nice with sidewalks so you may have to walk a few blocks. For those not wanting to walk..I would say hire a Limo...or park in a retail lot in the area...which there are plenty and call a cab...that would save some walking time if the weather is less than favorable. Santa Fe and Merlin is just a couple miles away with plenty of retail parking. Every one brings a bottle of wine "traditionally" or some kind of beverage to share with, and a side dish, or appetizer, or some kind of finger food, like cheese, chips, veggie plate, or hor d'oeuvre to share with. If you want to make yourself a steak, burger, or the like on the gas grill, it will be hot and ready at 7:00pm...just bring what you would like...and cook it up. For Example: I am bringing, water crackers/cheese spread and a couple bottles of Merlot to share. And for myself I am bringing a steak to grill. Hope that provides some clarification on what to bring and where to park. As far as entertainment goes...its a social event/food/drink event and the entertainment is meeting people in person and saying hello. There will be some background music, a fire outside and a deck and house to party in. We have some great single musicians and DJ's wanting to set up but due to noise constraints we wont be doing any grand productions like a dance floor or mosh pit...LOL. There will most likely be an accoustic type jam session set up in the 2 car garage with performances by some talented single people from the site...so if your interested in performing or joining in...post and lets get this party started... | |
