Posted: 10/13/2006 1:35:19 PM | | To clarify the original post...most people bring a small side dish, for example veggie tray, beans, salads, egg rolls, deviled eggs, crab rangoo...pretzels....chips/dip....crackers and cheese and cheese type spreads, its easy finger food that go well with a big get together.....deserts or chocolate...etc too....As far as entree goes, alot of people dont mess with bringing them, its more for personal consumption like you own steak, we are referring to more of a grill item... example being, I wll probably bring a steak to cook up as my entree, and a side dish to share and a couple bottles of wine......hope that makes sence....the sky it the limit...bring what ever you like, and something to share...its BYOB, tradition is a bottle of wine or two..lol,....which is fun to try all the differant ones....kinda like a wine tasting and food festival....now not eveyone brings wine...which is cool, some like to share their favorite beer or specialty drink..say rum and coke...or even just an icy glass of Coke, or near Beer...because not everyone drinks alcohol.. Its a community event for sure...and turns out to be alot of fun... Someone asked about the guy/girl ratio... It's looking to be mostly guys. But I think that's to be expected. I'm bringing guy and girl friends. We're all single...
Just to clarify, I won't be bringing the band. But the next time we do an event that allows for a more full sound, I will invite them. I was hoping a few musicians would bring their own instruments and/or voices to do some improv stuff. So if you have hand drums, tambourines, guitars... You get the idea.
Musicians, I'm looking forward to connecting with you this evening. I'll put together a gameplan that's fair for all the performers. So come find me when you arrive for the details. I'll be in or near the garage. And my name is Jude.

It goes in the water Monday, I was hoping for Thursday and then hotfooting it home and catch this party on the way, next time I guess, maybe. Sounds like a full yard of people if everybody shows, in my experience running these, about 30 percent attend, but I think the bigger they get the more people want to check it out. Have fun. Jon | |
