Just one quick reminder - as the PoF'ers are leaving Harpoons - please make sure to tell them to stay "right at" the posted speed limit - Punta Gorda police are wicked bad and love weekend nights with drinkers leaving Harry's - plus they are better off heading down 17 to the interstate to get back home - there is always a checkpoint set up northbound on 41 in Port Charlotte, usually right over the bridge into PC - just a heads up for any of our friends that indulge. No need in lining the locals pockets with legal fees!!

Don't worry about being shy, you will feel comfortable with us. It's always nice if you can come to early party because that's where you can get to know a small group of people and you will feel alot more comfortable when we get to Harpoon Harry's because you already know some of us.

and i know about punta paradise... i have lived here 16 years, and more than once i have been pulled over by the PG fuzz.... i will probably not be going to harpoons, for the simple fact that i am afraid to drive after more than a couple of drinks,
so i will be going to boomers afterward, which is right down the street... they hane dancing, and karaoke, and pool... and i am a hell of a singer! and i am a rather decent shot at pool, so i know my riend karen is coming with me, and probably dingledo.... so if anyone else wants to, if you dont know the area, you can just follow me!!

I've heard there are a few good singers in the group, so maybe for our next get together we can plan on going to a place that has karoke. It's an idea.

I was going to try and con my son into coming along to meet you - he doesn't do PG either and may go to Boomers - see what I can do for ya!

Posted: 9/6/2006 1:39:47 PM | I hear what you are saying. That's why some of us are getting a room at the BW, if you get enough people it's not expensive plus it's a lot cheaper than being picked up. I have a designated driver so I'll be safe. My driver will not be drinking at all.
We have a private area set aside for us at both Johnny's and Harpoons and I hope most of us are responsible enough to know that drinking and driving don't mix. So I say be careful.

I hope more of you will show up at Johnny's because it's a great way to get to know each other in a quiet atmosphere and then by the time you get to Harpoon Harry's you will feel much more comfortable because you have already made friends.
Thanks SW Florida, and if this is a sucess. I hope to plan more events. We need it.
