Don't let Steve annoy you.
Remember, a lot of us like a more average or even a thicker woman.
I certainly don't like feeling the press of sharp bony angles during a romantic interlude. That also goes for the feel of the excessive and somewhat masculine musculature of some women these days.

He glorifies women who are rail thin and has stated how excited he was with a woman who had a zero inch waste and also how one woman he was with he could touch his fingers around her waist and he literally got off on it. I am talking fingers...not arms! lol

So when are you coming up for a Cervasa Por favour?

Anyway, great minds think alike!!!
Pardon, I just realized that I misspelled rubenesque.

In a way, I agree with Steve. Everyone could use going to the gym to be healthy, or healthier. That is, if they don't already have other ways of accomplishing that. Many people lead an active enough lifestyle that a gym isnt really necessary.
As for establishing good habits though, I do have good eating habits. My problem is that I need to be more active (which means, I could definitely benefit from going to a gym). I would like to lose weight, but its more for aesthetic reasons - I am definitely a healthy person. If I carried more weight in my upper body there might be more of a health concern, but that isnt the case for me.
At any rate, I was just concerned with misrepresenting myself. Thank you all for your feedback.. I appreciate it. I consider myself bigger than thick - more like large and shapely lol - getting down to "thick" is about where I want to be. Unfortunately, today's "thick" is like yesterday's "normal"...
I am actually happy with where I stand, but frankly I want better treatment and more respect from men, and unfortunately it seems the best way to accomplish that is to lose some weight.

I think the thinner women look boyish and just don't appeal to me as much.

Talking about Rubenesque women.. it goes all the way back to Greece even. Not as pronounced as Ruben's paintings, but their statues of greek goddesses generally were not as busty and very hippy by today's standards, with a nice soft look to them.

Still runs well and doesn't burn oil. Body has some ding and scrapes but still pleasing to the eye (I've been told).

In a way, I agree with Steve.
And you should. I meant it in a good way, and only suggested that exercise is important for everyone.. Not just you.
As for all the peeps who took what I said out of context, especially the size zero waist comment... . You'll have to try harder than that to get under my skin. Although i expected it from Sari. She's still pissed that someone dropped a house on her sister...

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/27/2005 2:47:57 PM | Steve are you under the assumtion that thin is healthy?
Yes, I am... Do your research then get back with me on this.
Fat is essential, but given the fact that we now steadily eat 3-5 meals a day, there's no need for large deposits to carry us through a through a long winter or famine as was the case 2000 BC.
The higher your percentage of fat above average levels, the higher your health risk for weight-related illness's, like heart disease, high blood pressure, gallstones, type 2 diabetes, osteoarthritis, and certain cancers.
As a very general rule, an unhealthy waist circumference is above 35 inches (women), or above 40 inches (men).
Now, because she's so young (too young for you, sir james) she doesn't have to worry about the health issues, except for diabetes... not yet anyways.
Oh, and thanks jenzagirl. You're correct!

However, you've got to love the exceptions to those health rules.
I know of several people that lived into their 90s and a couple that lived past 100. The majority of those folks had at least a two pack a day habit and were very overweight. One lady that passed at 110 hadn't left her house in 20 years, because she was so obese.
I'm sure that many people on this thread know of similar cases.
I agree that being overweight can be one of many factors that influence health, but I still love pointing out exceptions to any rule.
Our crazy bodies are dynamic systems that are influenced by many factors and we should always keep that in mind.

| Meeting with someone who looks nothing like picture Posted: 3/27/2005 4:27:59 PM | Wow, such anger - I am afraid to join in here. I like thin women (I guess that makes me a late™nt pedophile) - I find a flat stomach to be very attractive. Then again, I too am rail thin and in my case, opposites don't attract. | |
