Posted: 2/10/2008 2:17:46 PM | Removing Dr Weir from the cast is a good idea. Her character was always very weak. The original actress who played her in the series was much better in the role.
Dr. Weir was not a leader and never worked well as part of the cast. All she did was bicker and whine and seem unable to make any descisions. Was it the writting of the character or the actress' fault? I dont know.
Amanda Tapping "Colonel Carter" is taking her place. Amanda can certainly bring back some of the panache and strength that was lacking in Wier. | |

Tapping is being "demoted" to being a recurring character in Season 5.
Her crappy web show "Sanctuary" got picked up by Sci Fi Channel.
Robert Picardo (The Doctor from Star Trek:Voyager and he plays the Woolsey character on Atlantis) is being brought in as a replacement.
I like the show...I'm just not thrilled where it's going.
Oh well....I have DISH network and 100+ channels...

Bring back Babylon 5, Angel and a new Star Trek series helmed by Manny Cotto and you'll have me watching again.

Yeah, Atlantis is ending this season. However Atlantis will be made into at least two movies like SG1 in the spring/summer of 2009 and in the summer/fall of 2009 the third series will be starting called Stargate Universe.

SG-1 had it's run, now it's time for SG-A, they also retired Captan Kirk and Captan Picard, yet after 20 years they even retired Bonanza, get a life it's only a TV show...  | |

whatever happaned to starsky car chases, rockford, simon & simon or magnum P.I.'s getting the crap kicked out of themselves every week, remington steele before he was bond, hunter kicking the bad guys ass, or shows with intense rock themes like miami vice, hookers, firetrucks, big boobs and A-team explosions
Thankful for the gradual release of box dvds of the old tv shows we grew up to | |
