I'm with Prof Chaos and Speedball. Old school metal rocks. BTW...the new Megadeth is going to KICK AZZ!! Watch 4 it.
Luv ya L8r all.

| Any punk/metal/hardcore music fans? Posted: 4/20/2007 6:24:51 AM | Kreator is good, they played here not long ago,I missed it cause Death Angel pulled out of the tour which pissed me off,Death Angel is awesome ,loved(much)of their new cd,and they are coming out with a new one some time in may,I cant wait and hope they tour canada, the last time I saw Death Angel was about 15 years ago at the Masonic Temple, and they were tight as hell.
Megadeth is also putting out a new cd in may, which Mustaine is boasting to be "old school"but the way he writes his lyrics now, will never be oldschool Megadeth. But Im sure it will be great whatever it is,Dave can do no wrong heheh.
Down is also putting out a new cd(Phil Anselmo x-Pantera)which I also cant wait for, just saw them play at the Heaven and Hell tour with Megadeth and Sabb.
Venom has re-recorded Black Metal and maybe more of their old albums, which I wish they wouldnt do ,cause they always change shiit too much.
Would love to see Venom put out a cd reminiscent of the old At War With Satan/Black Metal days.

But I tell ya the true metal is in the bands like Motorhead, Saxon , Dream Theatre, Iron Maiden .......now these guys haven't ever whimped out for the sake of RADIO AIR play..............

| Any punk/metal/hardcore music fans? Posted: 4/30/2007 7:45:45 PM | Wow. Never realized POF was so full of metalheads! Another vote of agreement here with Prof_Chaos - old school metal rocks and Metallica sold out (starting with the Black album imo)
Man - I forgot all about a lot of these bands - like Skinny Puppy and the Killer Dwarfs. Forgotten Rebels were a good band to see in a bar, if you got the chance. Looks like there will be new Megadeth to check out the middle of this month.

| Any punk/metal/hardcore music fans? Posted: 7/2/2007 6:04:58 PM | Hardcore is dead anyways. There are too many generic mosh bands out there with no talent.
Not saying that all mosh sucks. I'm rather fond of a band like "From Here On" (earlier BTBAM/Prayer For Cleansing) but real hardcore still only will flow out of New York, ie: Agnostic Front, Madball, 25 Ta Life, old Sworn Enemy, Crown of Thornz, Bulldoze, Skarhead, old Sick Of It All, Buried Alive, Path of Resistence, God Below, etc.
Once again, NOT saying there are no good hardcore bands right now, but still the new stuff is just rehashing what we've already heard.
I do however also like some grind, and for those of you who haven't bought (or downloaded) Pig Destroyer's new one Phantom Limb yet, do so immediately.

Anyone heard of Caliban or Heaven Shall Burn?
Both are German (but sing in english). I'm really into it recently. I'd love to see them live!
Sad to report I saw Caliban at Hellfest one year, and it was an all around average set. Their CDs are better than what they're capable of doing live (or wanting to do)

| Any punk/metal/hardcore music fans? Posted: 7/2/2007 6:17:09 PM | I use to really laugh at some of the hardcore stuff my ol' college buddy use to listen too. We'd go into one of the stores that focused on that music and you'd just wonder what the hell some of them where trying to say. "Rrrrahahamaaahkaaadooobeedooohaaaa!!!" That's all I'd hear. Maybe that was the lyrics. *Shrugs*
Metallica...yeah I was into them for awhile...still listen to the tunes once and a while. Something I think is missing of late...the old "Big hair" metal bands. Heh! Manowar's "Warriors of the world" is one I downloaded not too long ago...got to love metal bands every now and then.
