I like it, wouldn't say I love it, but it's mostly what I listen too. Some songs just relate to real life alot I find. And since I love to sing karaoke, well it's just easier to sing that than to try and scream out some AC/DC!!! | |

One other I can get into is Rebel Meets Rebel By Dimebag Darrell his brother Vince and David Allen Coe,for obvious reasons lol. | |

Posted: 8/24/2006 1:28:53 PM | IMO Country music is emotional. Many can relate and many chose to avoid the words that hit home in many songs. The life lessons and the stories in many artists songs is truly remarkable. Take a local band by the name of Dry County for instance. The lead singer battled the fight with cancer and won. He wrote a song I believe its called "When I get to Heaven" which was written for a young woman he had done Kemo treatments with who lost her fight. Its so touching to hear the song, but once you put the story behind it, it alows you to really see things in a new light.
There is so much talent no matter what style of you choose to listen to, thats why there is such a variety. I am sure each one of us goes through times when they need to hear Tea Party's Temptation, and then times when they can enjoy some Rascal Flatts. We all need to be just a little more open minded and ejoy what makes us feel good. | |

I flip between KX96 and The New Country 95.3. I have to admit I prefer 95.3....Jerry Archer can be annoying.

Was out ot the Harb in Owen Sound Wednesday night to see Gord Bamford and I must say I was pretty surprised by the amount of younger folk enjoying the show. And obviously by the quite rotund lady behind us-his show sent her into fits of farts EWWWWWWWW
I've seen Toby Keith, Paul Brandt recently but am I upset at having to go see Jewel in a couple of months...HELL NO!!!
The low down almost dirty sound of country now days is a blast-listening to the classics early Sunday morning is great too(and hey-how did I know all the words???)

As for the new stuff in the last 15 years, I like some of it….can live without some of it but at the end of the day the Jazz standards will always win out! | |

they really bombed out country night on canadian idol, the only night I watched all season and it SUCKED.
I have a pet peeve with people wearing cowboy hats because its in style... and they aren't country! if you want to act country you better be country lol. | |
