who wants to listen to songs about drug bust ..gangs ...shootings ..rapeing women etc
If Id have to choose between country and rap well its would be easy
COUNTRY!!!
lets not forget Elvis started off Country , buddy holly too
which open the path to spice it up through the years
then there patsy cline , george jones , charlie pride , Johnny Cash etc
who made it popular
now we have Rock/country
with great artist
and wow even rock singers are doing country too
well Im sorry COUNTRY music is very cool!!! awesome, and enjoyable
along with Rock / Rock altenitive etc . also cool | |

I’m a hit and miss with the new stuff and prefer jazz, the crooner, Motown, swing and hip hop over new country but I still pull out my collection of classic country on a regular basis! | |

Posted: 10/22/2007 6:49:56 PM | I didnt know Jessica Simpson did any country.... But for me, I am a huge country music fan.. love the lyrics and the music behind the songs... Tim&Faith, Big&Rich(Save a horse ride a cowboy. lol.....love that song! ...well I mean there are so many songs and artist out there now it is hard to keep track. And so many cute male singers, like OMG!! (haha).
Garth Brooks had many songs that touched many people, like Thunder Rolls (domestic violence).. Change me.. (Okalahoma bombing).. that video still makes me wanna cry, and Alan Jackson's Where were you When the World Stopped turning.......(9/11). So, I guess what I'm trying to say is, music has a way of touching our lives, perhaps our souls when it comes to worldwide news events, or in our every day lives regarding relationships.. K, well I think I am babbling on here......any views anyone????????? Thanks! | |

Though I still love classic rock and the music of the '50s and '60s, Randy Travis and his heartfelt song, "Forever and Ever, Amen," changed my attitude about country music. The new country is my favourite, while my sister prefers the old.
