| When was the last time you fell in love?
Posted: 8/24/2006 8:33:44 PM | what I thought was real love or what actually , in retrospect *was* real love?
the last time I fell in Love was 2004, but I think I was more in love with the notion of being with someone/being in love, than the actually feeling most of you are describing as love.
other than that , it was December 1995, I was 18 (oh lord!) my then boyfriend took me for a walk by the lake (we were at his work xmas party at a very nice hotel ,romantic night!) sat me down and told me he loved me , I told him the same and it was the start of a love that lasted for 6 years before we both went separate ways - wanted different things out of life etc.I saw him not too long ago and we are still on friendly terms. | |

Posted: 8/25/2006 7:50:10 PM | | Late July 2001. He turned into a person I couldn't even recognize after receiving an inheritance in June of 2004. We broke up in January of 2005. I wish him well, but his attitude and values changed too greatly for us to survive as a couple. | |

Posted: 8/27/2006 8:59:23 PM | I fell in love with my ex-wife back in 2001. We were married in 2002...we split up in 2005 when she was cheating on me with several guys she met online, and we got divorced...
I'm still an optimist though, and feel confident there will be a next time, hopefully with a better ending. | |

Fate and choice conspired to put a beautiful woman in my life, and for the first few weeks afterward, I felt a growing sense of bliss. It was warmth at first sight, then so many things in common, then a growing sense of love and peace just being with her. But, over time, and with inexperience with love, life, and self, I grew to believe I possessed her, and I lost her. And for a while, myself...
Falling in love can be the most joyous thing... but painful if it goes... | |

Posted: 8/27/2006 10:50:33 PM | Well I had a heck of a crush on somebody a couple of years ago. (Nothing ever came of it) But "fell in love"? That would have been with the dear ol' ex, and that was over 20 yrs ago... Been flying solo since 1999...

I was 12 years old. But it was just stupid infatuation/crush that grew and lasted continuously for 5 stupid years that too on the same guy who is now dead. So yea I thought I "loved" this guy and "worshipped" him like he was God since I was 12 until I was 16. But, he never even looked at me. Life is so stupid. Sometimes I wonder what he'd do or say if he saw me now. But, he is dead, so nothing can happen.
Flavia, I can describe almost the same story. I can close my eyes and still see her face, and hear her voice... I heard violins the first day I saw her, and for over four years I chased her incessantly. She was as close to a living, breathing Barbie as I've ever seen--minus the grotesquely large breasts. She was petite, graceful, perfect in so many ways...
But she peaked too soon. I became close friends with her brother and her mother (both of whom were on my side), but last I knew she became self-destructive when she hit high school. She started smoking, drinking, Mary Jane, become promiscuous, and just destroyed all that beauty. I moved on when I realised I couldn't save her from herself--to a girl I enjoyed much more--and last I knew she was trying to kill herself without knowing it.
Life's funny, eh? But I'm better for it. I carry on, hoping someday to feel that deeply, that strongly, to be that passionately in love with someone else again--this time, forever. | |

The love i had for one once, was the love that made you want to change your whole world so that you could be with this person. He was my last thought at nite and my first in the morning.... sadly it ended... and not a day goes by that i don't think about him.. i still cry missing what we had... he felt the same.. but it had to end.. he had a painfull choice to make and i made it for him... i didn't want to see him hurt, because of his love for me.. so i let him go.. i know i will never meet someone like him again.. but i hope some day to love someone else like that again...... at least i hope i will........ | |

Posted: 10/9/2006 6:38:12 AM | Does this kind of love even exist?.....I am still looking...I had recently been dating someone who I thought could be the real love but sadly it has not worked out and that is very sad for me, why is it that men are fearful of relationships? They fears that a one person relationship means marriage.
Maybe I am too much of a romantic I am still looking for that person who feels that you are their everything as do you with them. Where your day is consumed by the thoughts of this person and how you cant wait to see them or just even speak with them if only for a few moments. Each day is better than the last. I guess I want it all the Magic!! a person is my best friend, lover, and soulmate.
I will not give up!! this special person has to be out there somewhere. | |
