| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 10/10/2006 7:00:21 PM | What exactly constitutes "really skinny"? Everyone has their own definition I suppose because from surfing through womens profiles on plenty of fish, it seems alot of people have different opinions on what "skinny","average"," a few extra pounds", and "bbw" mean. Not to be rude or anything but I see many women who look pretty large have "average" on their profile and then I see women who look in decent shape say they have "a few extra pounds". It's all about proportion anyways. I'm 5'11 and 170 which seems pretty normal to me but...take off the shirt and (pats lil pot belly). Besides, it's whats on the inside that counts. If women dont like my pot belly than they dont have to date me. More junk food for me! | |

| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 10/11/2006 12:01:52 AM | | I think the comments are referring to guys who are pencils and/or skinnier than them. I can't imagine many women wanting to get into a anorexic weight competition with their boyfriends. | |

| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 10/11/2006 10:58:45 AM | | Well, I always like to think about context. For example, what is it a person wants (or needs): a sex buddy, a friend, a lover, a partner. In my mind, none of those justify an interest, or judgement based on physical appearance. A sex buddy should be good (symbiotically) in "bed". A friend should be someone who respects a person, listens and can share their life with. A lover is someone who can hold a hand when needed. A partner is someone who is committed to sharing their life in a deeper sense (economics, emotionally supportive, etc). The only "real" reasons why physical appearance becomes important is: to show off. I have found that when people value this, it tends to be, because they are insecure. This is of course a stage everyone goes through, and is very hard to overcome. Society constantly enforces this a as means to undervalue “real” relationships. When people overcome this they are able to address injustices. I am of course, simplifying this. Take Care And Always And Think For Yourself | |

| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 1/15/2007 12:45:05 AM | i have to admit that i do have a preference toward thinner guys. espiecally if they are pale and dress in all black.
as for not going out with a skinny guy because i am a bigger girl- i've never thought about a guy as a "accessory" to how i look- so i am not worried about how i look when i am with him to other people. if you are worried about how someone else makes YOU look... then you have other issues.

In fact when I seen this thread the spelling reply was the first thing that popped into my head. I'm glad to see I am not the only one that finds spelling important. But going back to skinnY men, it is all about perception. I would not knock a chance at love based on physical appearance. I know that sounds so cliche but it is so very true. I have my preferences but I accept all that accept me.

| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 2/9/2007 12:58:04 AM | I've found that if a woman is thin she usually has fewer problems dating thin guys. The bigger the girl, the more a skinny guy makes her feel like Jabba.
Personally I like very thin women.
Oh, and to the girl who posted that skinny guys have .. um .. "generous packages".. it's true!

| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 2/9/2007 3:20:25 AM | Hell no SID, I prefer bigger built guys and find thin guys very unattractive. As my profile says, I want a man who can give me a big bearhug...lol. | |

| do women really like really skinney guys? Posted: 2/9/2007 12:12:53 PM | Well I'm "thin", and haven't really had a problem with women seeming to mind (to my knowledge anyways).
right now, I am 5'10" 150 lbs...and even when I was active Army my weight never pushed much beyond 170... it's just not part of my physique I guess to be able to bulk up or have body fat.
Sometimes it sucks, I agree...but what IS nice about it is a perpetual six-pack without having to work for it, I can eat whatever I want and laugh at everyone else saying "how many calories..?"
So good bad or ugly, there is a good point to everyone's body type I think. I actually told a "thick" girl last night that she wasn't fat, she is titty enhanced.
