Why is it a deal breaker? Why the sense of entitlement?
is that question to someone specific?
If a man asks me out and says it is" his treat"... then am I wrong to expect him to do as he offered? If a man says .. "your choice"... am I wrong to expect him to honor my request? The example I gave was choice of movie as well as the restaurant.... the coffee shop.. etc..
That isn't old fashioned or being treated like a lady or any kind of euphamism for leech..... that is common courtesy. Why bother to ask someone where they would like to go or what they would llike to do if you have no intention of doing anything other than what YOU wish?

| first date from hell Posted: 8/29/2007 2:31:35 PM | Don't know if this qualifies as date... was in local pub with a group of friends, big tall marine-looking type wanders in, life of the party, chatting up all the ladies... He gets drunker and drunker and heads over to me and proceeds to start telling me how great his****is... My friends are laughing their butts off as I'm trying to avoid him... finally, he pulls down his shorts and whips it on out and waves it at me and asks me what I think of THAT now....
So I stare at it for a minute (all my friends are REALLY laughing now) and look up at his face and tell him "it looks just like a penis, only smaller."
He left quickly to the sound of the entire room laughing.

| first date from hell Posted: 8/29/2007 5:43:45 PM | In 2001 i met a woman online, and the picture looked pretty good. She came over to my place, and when i opened the door, there was a woman 300 lbs plus. I didn't know what to do, so i let her in. we did the dirty anyway, (alcohol) she stayed the night, the next morning she was telling me whe did not want to go to work (scary thought) I told her i had things (personal) to do, and she had to go. that will never happen again. | |
|
| first date from hell Posted: 8/29/2007 6:17:13 PM | ^^^^ OMG that is totally wrong. Blame it on alcohol??? I think I would of kept that one to myself. She is probably posting that as her best date experience in another forum............... | |
|
| first date from hell Posted: 8/29/2007 6:20:56 PM | | It just amazes me that the 2nd poster above talks about this woman he met and yet still has sex with her and complains later. These are the kind of men that make me sick. If she was so repulsive, why be intimate with her? Don't tell me alcohol. If I am not attracted to someone, there is no way I am going to be with them and especially let them stay all night. Get your priorities in order. | |

| first date from hell Posted: 8/29/2007 7:59:13 PM | This was not mine but a lady friend of mine. She told me she had met a guy online and he said he was in the ice cream business.
When he showed up at her house for the date, he was driving one of those trucks with the music blaring that sells ice cream to the kiddies.
He then asked her if they could go in her car.

| first date from hell Posted: 8/30/2007 7:11:26 AM | Next time the ice cream man comes to my neighborhood, I'll ask if he's single. I'll bring the pie and he can provide the ice cream. Pie, ice cream and good music.. what else do you need? | |

| first date from hell Posted: 8/30/2007 12:48:24 PM | | Have met several wonderful people and have had great times.....but once....this woman impressed me with her apparent knowledge of wines. We had decided to have a bottle before dinner....she ordered a $120.00 bottle, I sent it back...lol...it went down hill from there....live and learn, I did. | |

| first date from hell Posted: 8/31/2007 12:13:17 PM | I can top that one! So I went to lunch with this guy I met on another web site a couple of years ago. He was some big-time manager of a corporation. Basically he spent the entire time yip yapping on the phone! Drove me nuts. Yes, he was a manager and all, but that is what voice mail is for! Then we were driving home and he got the "emergency" phone call. Needless to say, I never spoke to him again. | |

| first date from hell Posted: 10/5/2007 7:11:43 PM | I'm not sure this is a date...but it's from hell.
I was out catching a local band at a pub. The music was great, and I was having a blast listening, playing pool, and dancing. I played a couple of games of pool with a guy and we were having fun. He asked if I would like to go someplace quieter and have a beer, and I said yes. (now that was stupid in the first place, but here comes the kicker). I stupidly assumed he meant another bar or public place (I know, I know, I've learned my lesson.) He pulled into a convenience store, I again ASSUMED to get a pack of smokes. We walked in and he directed me to the cooler and asked if I liked bud or coors. So in the store, I say you're kidding right? I'm not going to your house. I don't know you. well what did you think I meant? I thought you meant in a public place, like with people in it? I am so not going home with you, I don't even know you! At which point he says....well no, I thought you said you lived close!
I ended up walking home that night. Dari-Mart is now a cuss word in my house.

| first date from hell Posted: 10/6/2007 10:32:42 AM | I was on a date with a guy when I was much younger and things were going awesome, I knew this guy for month's before this date, therefore, I was VERY willing to go home with him that night, he was an army guy who lived in the barracks. I remember he and I getting it on when he asked me to "scratch" his back, which I obliged, but then he wanted me to scratch"harder", I obliged again as well, but then he wanted me to literally scratch him so hard on his back that he bled, that weirded me out, nonetheless, I stopped everything informing him I had to go to the bathroom, he lived on the fourth floor of the barracks, I locked the bathroom door and climbed out his window, I was then stuck on the ledge due to the fact, if I would have jumped, I know more than likely I would have broken my leg, so I moved along the ledge and decided to climb into the first open window that I saw.
I heard "sexual" noises but climbed into the first open window anyways. I remember climbing into some soldier's room while he was obviously having sex with some woman, and thankfully for me, I just walked by them and they didn't even notice me, I made it out into the hallway, then went down the stairs only to see some soldiers on duty for the night, I had to hide until they turned their backs then I ran into what they called their "day" room and climbed out the window. I ran out of their parking lot and got hit by a car! I was ok though, and then I ran home, my barracks was about a half mile from the place I was ...haha

| first date from hell Posted: 10/7/2007 12:15:07 PM | omg Nona! also hahahahaha!
This is the worst date I ever avoided. I had a regular customer I used to flirt with on a daily basis, he was super cute and we were always throwing little jokes and innuendos off each other. We did this for probably 6-8 months.
Finally he asked for my number saying we could get together for drinks and I was thrilled. He called a few days later and proposed meeting at a local bar. Then he said that he knew HIS WIFE had heard a lot about me, and was really thrilled about getting to know me better!
I was in shock, didn't even know he was married. I told him in my most colorful langauge NEVER to call me again and not surprisingly I didn't see him after that. Some people!

1st date: Stalked me 2nd date: Scared me 3rd date: Cured me
Question: Does it get better? (I'm still trying...does that count for anything)
