Posted: 12/12/2006 10:27:00 PM | Chivalry isn't dead, just not doing well lol, just some guys are tired of doing all that we are supposed to do (the chivalry you mentioned) and in return the woman they are interested in decides to dump you for someone else, and not someone treating them as they should, but treating them like shit (pardon my language, ) for example, I had a woman I was dating, I treated her right (yes we did have sex early on, but we continued dating) well after a month, she (without telling me) must have wanted to move on, instead of saying so, continued to use me, practically moved in here with me (mind you, by this time we weren't having sex so much) was using me for my computer and xbox (so she could meet other guys), anyway during this time I was still nice to her, though the only thing I heard from her was "can ya get me a drink, can ya get me something to eat, etc..) (yes I was an idiot for putting up with it as I did), but I cared for her, anyway after a while I had enough and told her I was tired of how things were going, she got pissed, left that morning, but still came to use my computer (she still had her key) til I password protected everything lol, the next day she moved her stuff out and left the key, hooked up with one of the guys she was chatting with (that she told me not to worry about, mind u). after this situation, I got tired of being used as I was, kinda turned me off the dating idea (that was the worst case, I have others, not so bad, guess I'm easily used lol).
where I was going with this is, maybe some guys aren't so chivalrous(sp? lol) because women in their past made them this way, again, not all guys, but some (I still do treat women right, just not interested in getting into a relationship so fast right now)

Nope...and it doesn't matter when a woman has set standards such as yours.
It takes two to tango, so if the one person doesn't want sex, then hopefully it's not happening.
There's your checks and balances. Pretty simple.
Flip the POV around. Is it wrong to court a woman indefinately and have no desire to sleep with her. Is that misleading towards her?

Why lie guys??? Why say long term relationship ,when you mean quick lay .
It's not much of a lie if everyone "knows" the truth. It's the same reason why some men pretend women are flawless and could never be anything but.
This doesn't mean that EVERY man who is looking for LTR isn't. Some men appreciate the nicities of being with someone on a more regular basis and other are still out making the rounds. Neither is wrong.

They will wallow anywhere and do anything to get it. Our jobs are to train the monkey and have him pay for what he wants. I spent a lifetime equating sex with love. Men will put their tool into anything, even a knot hole in a tree.
That being said, I find married men are the most responsive, less commital, less ignorant of the pack.

The key is to try and just be a little smarter then the average bear and before you hop in to bed with someone take the time to get to know them. Sure some people lie and say they want a relationship but if we slow down a little we will be able to make a more intelligent decision. Maybe with age comes wisdom all I know is I will not judge a whole gender because of the actions of a few.

The way i was raised is you treat a woman like a princess and not like your property. When i date a lady and we go out i am very nice i open doors for the lady, and pull out the chair for her and do all that stuff i know maybe i am old fashioned and maybe most ladies don't like that. I hear most guys say that they won't date a lady because she won't have sex me i say so what it should be about what is in the persons heart that matters not about rather a person will have sex with you or that is my parents advice to me.
