Posted: 6/25/2005 2:57:23 PM | Good question! You'll get different responses from the women because we are all different (kind of like snowflakes). You have to ask the woman that you are interested in, what she wants. The only way you know what the other person wants or needs is simply by asking. There's too many assumptions, and biases on both of the sexes. We think we know what the other wants. That's what gets us into dangerous territories, is we "assume".
You ever notice on these social functions, after awhile, the men get together in one group, the women in another group, it doesn't matter where the function is or what you're doing. People are also shy, you have to give them credit. I tend to be a wall flower, I enjoy listening and watching people more than getting "involved".
Now, as to what I want?
For the man who I want to spend the rest of my life:
Good character - honest; kind; believe in monogamy; trust worthy
Sense of humor - can laugh at yourself; can laugh with me. When we meet for the first date, you greet me with a smile. If I'm having a miserable day, you know how to light my fire by cracking a good joke or two.
Man with the plan - if I ask you what your life's goals are, you can list them. It doesn't matter if it includes: retirement (where you want to retire); losing weight; buying your dream car. You know what you want and you'll GO FOR IT.
Communication - listening is the biggest gift that you can give to me. Simply by being there for me, hugging me and being my cheering section. I don't need to be fixed, just like you don't need to be changed.
Best friend - you are my best friend, and likewise, I am your best friend.
Responsible - you are financially, socially, and ethically responsible. You can manage your money, pay your bills, and plan for your future. You aren't looking at me to be your ATM, and likewise, I don't need your money. You pay your taxes on time. You have a good work ethic.
Taking care of yourself - you take care of yourself (emotionally, physically, spiritually). You keep up with your health; keep your weight in check; have good hygiene. You see me as enhancing your life, not completing your life.
You accept me just the way I am and vice versa. | |

Posted: 6/25/2005 3:33:47 PM | well Ksue just reread a lot of the posts here since I have been drifting in my mind lately. Must be an over 50 thingy. LOL wanted to say thx to you. and I just read your post on what you want. Thats one I have never done. the only things I know I truely want in this old world is my two front teeth. Well on second thought no way to much pain. but honestly I have never given it any thought. I just go from day to day and if I find something I want to do I do it. If I get interested in something I continue until I find it has reached its limit with me. The only thing in this world that has never had a limit or boundry is the woman I find, care for, and love. That is usually for life. I can honestly say every woman I have ever loved I still do in some way. Maybe not the same depth but the love is still there. maybe not the same range or feeling either. I think you may get my drift.

Where one may think that they can't find the rainbow the next may think hey this little item here is the biggest part of the rainbow or the stepping stone to the next level. am glad to have ya back.

A man who is self-aware and confident, who can and WILL converse about anything and everything. A man who is fascinated by women....and loves our depth and changeablity.

Posted: 7/16/2005 3:15:36 PM | Now pisces not as far as when they had little metal jeeps and army trucks. Made with a key that turned the motor to make it move across the floor. Then how about the vases made in china that had actual gold used on the ribbons on the ladies hair. Then after a certain time it was done with gold colored paint. Just a little trivia there. Matter of fact I will ask a question of you since we talk back. How many remember Lassie on television. Question I have is "How many dogs did it take to make one show of lassie?" See a youngun would never know these little things unless they have done a lot of searching. Ladies over forty tend to know what they want but how much do they really know. As far as that goes how much does even us guys know. We all tend to ponder what we really want but do we ever really know?

I think I busted a hose in my car engine yesterday, Mound. I got the car filled up with gas and on the way home some smoke came from under the hood and it smelled like burning rubber.
I didn't look under the hood, tho, I don't know what I'm looking for.
