| The Top Ten Album's Of All Time As Voted By The British Public. Posted: 8/29/2006 12:53:18 PM | In no particular order.
Rage Against the Machine-Self Titled Debut Album. Soundgarden-Badmotorfinger(THE !!! definitive grunge album) Red Hot Chili Peppers-Blood,Sugar,Sex,Magic(By The Way PFFFFFFFF!!) Pearl Jam-Ten Depeche Mode-Violator Nine Inch Nails-The Downward Spiral Alice in Chains-Dirt N.W.A-Straight Outta Compton Elvis-Number Ones(I know thats technically cheating but screw it hes the King). Tori Amos-Little Earthquakes
When are these goddamn list makers gonna realise that there is no such thing as `All Time` if it was `All time` then the universe would have exploded and the top ten of anything would be irrelevent.
I am starting a petition to get these damn lists changed into something that makes a bit of goddamn sense, lets say `Top Ten(whatever) of Time So Far,I know it aint as catchy, but it just makes more Goddamn sense
Whos with me ??????? | |

Wasnt Grunge born out of smelly seattalins playing in their garages.Superunknown may be better poroduced but it fails to fully capture the essence of grunge. It still one of my favourite albums though.

Posted: 9/5/2006 3:41:27 PM | MSG 27 I appreciate your point about these lists, but the fact remains that those who vote on them are fully aware of ALL albums, and if they aren't, they aren't going to vote for albums that they've never listened to.
I hate to point out that, if these particular albums were better than those in the list, they would have received the necessary votes. I'd love to be able to say that no-one has actually bought the albums in your list, but that would be false.
Just be pleased that you have better musical taste than the rest of the country.....I know that I do!

We're all different, we all like different things. One man's meat is another man's poison. Now, if you're saying the top ten most popular things then that's different.
But then we all know that popular doesn't necessarily mean good (Mr. Blobby, Crazy Frog, etc.)
Anyway, go and listen to Pearl Jam's No Code...

Some of my faves would be (not top 10 cos that changes from day to day but these will always be in the running:
Paul Weller - "Wild Wood" and "Stanley Road" Van Morrison "Moondance" and "Poetic champions compose" Lene Marlin "playing my game" Oasis - Morning Glory Jet - Get born John Lennon - Imagine
There are so many more but unfortunately they are collections which probably dont count like: Dire Straits Alchemy, Depeche mode 101 live, hits albums from the who, small faces, Leni kravitz, beatles etc etc

| The Top Ten Album's Of All Time As Voted By The British Public. Posted: 10/14/2006 10:43:31 PM | This is all very subjective... it's mostly sixties stuff, mostly Brits... which I can understand, because it's a British poll and Brits have had a fantastic impact on the pop musical world from the second half of the twentieth century... and it's from my generation... and I, like anyone worth a plugged nickel as a human being; love the Beatles... b-b-b-b-b-b-but even if that's the case, I have to ask:
1) Where's "Layla"? 2) "Are you Experienced"? 3) "After Math"? 4) "Sunshine Superman"? 5) now, I was never a Led Zep fan, but shouldn't there be one of theirs on there? 6) "My Generation"? or "Tommy" or "The Who Sell Out"? 7) How about the James Bond themes? 8) No Elton John?
Did they take this poll at Abbey Road or Penny Lane or something?

Posted: 10/15/2006 6:13:14 AM | Just have to say Anticon that Are you experienced is mentioned, along with the who and Led Zepellin but I may add Elton Johns "Yellow brick road album" but that sometimes gets tough when you are limiting to an actual top 10. Especially thinking of them when I am away from my cds like I am lol - probably forgot a whole load of top albums. Many of mine are greatest hits as well though but you cant count them. Gotta say though I nearly spat out me coffee when I saw James bond themes listed there! Yes they are good tunes but as best albums of all time you have seriously got to be joking! lol (dont be offended just posting a comment) Anyway - back to peoples top 10 albums comments now! (good or bad! - after all I have a few bad ones!)
