She was a freakin' drunk that needed serious help.........I left out the part about having drinks at her place the first time we cooked dinner....15 bottles of various liquors, which isn't in itself unusual but what was unusual was the fact that after the second dinner that she was so drunk a week later , after I ate I decided to make myself a drink before I left....All the booze was gone...Hmmmmmm ..........It's just hell being a nice guy.........  | |

Posted: 9/5/2006 3:55:15 AM | mmm...well better last than never for telling you about the photos...this guy was practically begging me to meet him...i told him i was going out dancing, he could be there and meet me if he wanted...he came up to talk to me...i didnt' recognize him because the guy in the photo was not him...so i basically acted like...who are you? and ignored him....
nothing beats the date i had one day...for brunch since i was working part time at the mall...this guy wasn't my type, so no second date...he drove a corvette, lived in a nice section of town, and had a good job...later i was looking at the online sexual predator list and started with the ''A"s...and guess whose photo popped up....it was about a year later, i was like wait i know this guy....it was the guy i'd gone to brunch with...and now i run into him at the club i go to dance at...he just creeps me out big time...i so want to just walk up to him and say, "aren't these women a little old for you".... | |

Posted: 9/5/2006 8:21:38 AM | | belly dancer i so agree with you!!!! while white men tend to pass me by because i am a little thick (and when i say a little i mean a little, i am between a 10 and a 12 with a 28 inch waist... i just have a big butt and massive boobs, lol) black men will literally change direction to follow me as i walk by. i had a black man with a bachelor party ask me if he culd take a picture of me, that i was the most gorgeous non black woman he had ever seen. on this site, it seems to be working the same way. i have gone on a date with a white man recently and i am still waiting to hear back from him. as cute as he was, and as much fun as we had, i dont think i am going to hear back from him. sad right??? oh well.... | |

Posted: 9/5/2006 9:59:46 AM | I've had some bad dates, believe me...1 from here, offered to take me out to get a smoothie, I accepted..he picked me up, didnt have much to say, we get to planet smoothie, he orders his, and asks me what I want..thinking he was goign to pay, since he offered to take me out....I was wrong...I had to scrounge up change I had, to buy myself a smoothie, after orderign, he didnt have anything to say, we got in the car, and he dropped me off...that was it....very rude...
Anotherone...A guy in a band, he was the guitarist...was very very very vain, the whole time I couldnt get one word in, it was ALL about him, every second, and his "fancy" car... I couldnt open my mouth, he just yaked on about himself without giving me the chance to even reply, I actually found myself drowning him out and not even on purpose either...that was pretty bad..
Yet Another....the guy looked NOTHING like his picture....looks arent a big deal....but when ur expecting one thing...and get something COMPLETELY different...its a real turn off....so yes ladies and gentleman.....UPDATE PICTURES!!!
...other random dates are just depressing..I've had one where the guy got ot my house..saw me...and sped off and wouldnt answer the phone... others we clcik on the phone, and talk for hours, but when I finally get to meet them..they all of a sudden arent interested....so guys are jerks...and for no apparent reason....so I think with every bad date I go on...I find myself being more wary of meetign people online...you cant trust anything till your face to face...and believe that.  | |

Posted: 9/6/2006 4:09:05 AM | yeah bella bella it's that way with latino men and arab men as well....i have a great black muslim friend who told me...men of color can appreciate some meat on a woman...i'm a size 14, and when i tell men i'm heavy they say they dont see it...well no you are looking at a photo...and it's more difficult...and with me it's spread out evenly so i dont look hugely fat...
it is a shame...because i'm not attracted to those men generally...i wish that i were...i could have dates all the time...but since i'm attracted to light haired guys with light colored eyes most often...well what can you do? oh some guy on the site last night told me i was not fat...and i was being too critical...when i told him how much i weigh, he asked me why i had weight issues....i said i dont, i'm happy with my body, and i exercise and can outdance about anyone...so he made some comment about i must be a sad person and said good luck....what a dummy
as for alcoholics...home health care...most are functional alcoholics...when i met my exbf he was functional...held a job, raising his kid who he had the majority of time with...and could handle our relationship without me even knowing, then things began to unravel...he ''quit'' his job(he had money all over so was able to not work for months)...got into a dui incident...and after 12 days of sobriety at the holidays...went off the deep end basically and got worse and worse....he's not a bad person by any means, and comes from a great family, but it does run in the family..his dad and brother went cold turkey and were successful...but he wasn't able to kick it...last i heard he was in treatment, yet again...i can only hope (for his young son's sake, he got better) | |

Posted: 9/20/2006 11:50:49 AM | I had talked on the phone with this guy several times, he seemed nice enough, but I never saw his picture. I don't judge people on looks, so that was fine. We met at a nice restaurant and after we had ordered he told me that he needed to tell me something. He said he was a convicted child molester...his own daughter. At that time I worked in a school, so you can imagine the thoughts running through my head. I am not the type of person who would just walk out on someone. At the end of the night he asked me out again, but I told him that would never happen. He even had the nerve to call me the next weekend and ask me out, saying he just didn't understand why not.
Another guy drove 3 hours to meet me and brought his 8 year old son along on our date. He pulled off the road at a secluded beach spot and told his son to get out of the car and play and proceeded to maul me right there in front of his child.
I've had many guys lie about their age. I too am not a little woman and I'm very upfront about that, and some men prefer that. If a man doesn't want you for who you are, then why waste your time or his? | |

We met at a local resturaunt, I walked right by him because it wasn't him in his photos!!!( he was holding the door for me and I didn't even know it was him) After we finally met, we went out to the Tikki Bar, I had a drink he had several. As the night went on the words started to slur and he started talking crazy. I excused myself to the restroom where I called a friend,( my life -line) she and her date came to my rescue!!! We were kind and and finished a drink before we left, he then asked me where I kept my horns???? and when was I leaving to go to the ball????( what, I was wonderin????)I couldn't stand it anymore I excused myself and my friends, as we walked away I heard the words F___ you!! my friends date wanted to confront him but I said please just get me out of here!!!
The funny thing about this whole thing is the next day I get a wonderful letter on here telling me what a wonderful person I was and how sorry he was and could he have another shot at it....Well NO.... Hell NO!!!! He gave me the excuse that he was on med's for a a car accident he was in!!! Sorry!!! But No!!
The other bad one was like pulling teeth ... couldn't even get him to look at me, moreless get him to talk... I just think he's just not into me, until I get home from the date and on my machine is a message telling me what a wonderful time he had and he can't wait to do it again soon...WHAT??? were you on the same date as me??? I tried to get this mans attention for 45 mins... get home and my machine has total attention!!! | |

On topic, just after this summer's "Tropicane", I ventured out into the dating arrina to find a woman about my age, who had so much in common with me, so she said, only to be asked by her, on our very "First MEETING", after ordering pizza in at her place, she said, "Don't you wanna get laid the first time you meet someone?" ROLF Well..... IF it hadn't been for the story that she told me about her most recient "Younger" boyfriend! Ya gotta love those recient WAR stories! Best heard after a cold one or two! Posted: 10/15/2006 7:23:08 AM | I know how you feel misplacedcowboy. I felt the same way as you. But if I had done that, than I would not have met Joe. Yes we emailed at first, then the phone, then the first date. I was very leary about going out, but now I am so glad that I did.
I agree there should be a forum on first good dates, I think alot of people have made more friends than bad on the first date. There are alot of male/females that just one a one nite or get off hurting the opposite person. But there are alot of good people on here.
Give it a chance, you just might find what I have found.

Posted: 10/15/2006 9:54:05 AM | the worst one i ever saw was a real estate broker i saw her pic and she looked great .....so i though that is a hottie so i went to her place to see what she looked like and i told her i was thnking of buying a place ....well to my surprise she had been to one of those glamour shot photo places .....you know the one where they turn a pig into a princess .......well i almost turned religious ........this porker came up to me and told me her name ,i asked her was ther another marianne in the office she said no.......so i showed her the pic and she said i got that dne for the real estate brochure as i had to look good ....well needless to say a pig in a prom dress is still a pig ........i guess they must have used all the make -up in the glamour shots because this woman was not the same in the pic ......woman have got to stop lying then maybe men will do the same .........in between spandex and make- up and lycra ...you can turn a blimp into a beauty .....and knock it off with the perfume .......   | |

Asking what was going on she asked me how much I was planning on spending on our date. I said I hadn't planned as long as we have fun. She said do you think you will spend $100. I said maybe. She asked me to come in. Once she closed the door she said give me the $100.00 and we will just get it on now. I looked at her not beliveing what I heard. I asked if she was serious. She dropped her robe and said very serious. I said no thanks and open the door and left. then I went back and knocked. She open the door. I handed her $1.00 and said have fun. When I got home she had left a message. she said that my plan was to wine and dine her so I could get her in bed so why waste the time and just give her the money and do it.
