My grandmother was 11 years older than my grandfather and she outlived him by 23 years but they had a wonderful loving relationship for 46 yrs. Think of age as just being a number. I feel you maybe missing out. Especially if you are admitting that you found that 67 yr old attractive. In all likelihood, stastically, she will be burying you. | |

Posted: 3/5/2008 5:46:12 AM | *grin* A friend of mine got into a hell of a battle with his 92 year old dad, when he told him he had to give up his licence ..yes, for safety's sake, it was time!!
His father told him he had this "little cutie" (she was 84 !) round the block that he drove to the coffee shop every afternoon, and having no licence would ruin his sex life!!!!!!
Now THAT'S the spirit, My Friends, THAT'S what I'M talkin' about!!!!!!

Men however, who are looking at the outside package, will never get the whole
deal. Never will be happy, content or ever find the fullness of life.
Inner beauty, your soul, your thoughts, your love comes from within, not from
a pretty, non experienced face of an Adventurous Woman on the Prowl. That
would be me, and I have the lines on my face to prove I am who I am.
Those men who married for the appearance of who they live with, probably are those
married men on here searching extra-martial affairs. Because those appearances did
keep them happy.
Don't give up in searching. It may not be on this site that you find your next companion in life. But he is out there somewhere just waiting to connect with you. Let all those men who feel as if you are too old, too experienced.... If they only knew what they were missing in us older women. Being as shallow as they really are, tells me they will never find out.
I actually prefer my age, than 20 year olds. I just can't imagine I use to be one of them.
All with the same attitudes. Aging has me a more mellow, a more easy going person. I am happy single, or I can be happy with someone else involved in my life. Either way I am going to make the best of it. | |

One of the marriages was between a 72-yr old lady and a 74-yr old man. I eventually quit hiking with the club because I was having some problems when the weekly hikes became 14-17 miles long with 3 or more steep hills instead of the 10-13 miles with only a couple hills. They were still going strong when I moved last year. The people in the club were serious hikers and occasional mountain climbers and people from all over the world hiked with us. The over 70's couple who met and fell in love hiking weren't the only hikers over 60. Many of the 20 somethings who tried hiking with us never came back. It was too grueling for them. I thought they were the cutest couple and they were perfectly matched. There's no such thing as too old for romance. | |

Knowing people of that age was raised during a time when affection in public was
forbidden.
There was an older couple at the motel I was staying in a couple of weeks ago.
I went down for coffee as I did most mornings. They was not expecting me to
come through the hallway door, exiting the hallway to my room.
The man, was fondling the woman's back side, nice way to put it on here. Not in
a gross way, but very politely, acceptable way to touching in public. Simple, easy...
not like grabbing. Anyways... she heard my thongs flopping behind them. Never
looked back. I smiled and thought to myself, I want to be them at their age.
She tried to hide it, but he did it again. I wanted to laugh out loud so much. I kept
it in, but I still had to smile. | |

Posted: 3/6/2008 12:41:10 PM | I don't think your ever too old for romance, pair bonding or even marriage if it fulfills your desires. The only problem I see with marriage in the later stages of life, is; What happens to your Estate?
It's likely to raise some eyebrows amongst other family members ... and to be more specific, those children who stand to lose the most, when realizing their rightful inheritance could end up elsewhere.
I just hope by the time I make it to the assisted living facility, I still have enough lead in my pencil to take on nurse Ratchet ... and that they have the good sense to step up those pathetic sit and be fit geriatrics with some cardiovascular -- "Rock the Casbah."

...My mother would be standing at the kitchen sink doing the dishes and my dad would come up behind her and put his arms around her, sometimes kissing her on the back of the neck or "accidently" brushing against her breast. She would always say, "Jack, stop that, the kids might see".....but I know she secretly enjoyed it.
My parents would have been married for 40 years if my dad had not been killed in a car accident...They were lovers & friends, I want that.

Posted: 3/6/2008 9:28:05 PM | I thought I responded to this post before, especially since it's about a year-and-a-half old, but I guess I didn't. How old is too old? It depends upon the person. I love this site, so for me it is more entertainment than a vehicle to find someone to date.
Sure, I've had three women email me within the last two days. These ages: 50, 62, & 73. Heck, that's great for an old codger like me! In the past I've gotten emails from women in their 30's and 40's. Too young for me, of course. Frankly I could never keep up with them, nor would I want to try.
Too old? Yep, I'm too old. But having fun anyway. | |

There have been other quotes along this line, too, and I wish men my age would realize that love is still possible and enjoyable even if they are getting older ......... So many of the men are critical and say that women their age are "old looking" or not attractive enough anymore........... It wasn't a problem for the generation before us. Those men in their late 70's knew how to see beauty in the women they loved......... instead of wanting botox and fake b**bs and women who starve themselves into crankiness to try to still look pretty..........
