dust to dust
realize dna is left like rust
everywhere you go
with flaking skin
strands of hair
spit in the wind
I've thought of what to do with that ash
some of my best man from the past
waiting forever in eternity
never getting that message back to me
we made a pact
way back in time
he'd go his way
I'd go mine
whoever died would cross the line
show the other if ties bind
I have to think now is all we have
when it gets lost
well I guess that too bad
finding a way to reach across
its a lot harder than guessing a coin toss
we played psychic games for many years
shared the victories and losing tears
shared a lot of glasses of beer
still no message that rings as clear
I want to believe as I walk through my world

it's still waitin for you out in the moat
well, it's trailered and on the sidewalk
but, you know that's close enough
every single one of my reels needs relined
do they still troll pepin with lead line?
this boat is no doubt a walleye catchin machine
and the four stroke engine burns virtually clean
it's got the perfect livewell for willowcats
bounced more than a few of 'em off the wingdams
I've had more willowcat stings than bee stings
mind baitin my hook for me?

I’ve been sick with allergies so bad this week, but D. made me some chicken noodle soup from scratch and it’s patching me up!!
Pulled out the tackle boxes
And sorted through hooks
I’m going to have to shop
By it’s empty looks
The kids lose more
Than the lakes have fish
But what they catch
Makes a tasty dish
Bobbers are our biggest thing
The crack them so fast
Ya think they’d learn by now
How to fricken cast
But it’s all in fun
And that’s all that matters
By the time we get our lines wet

Yes Dog, I'm back, lol
Sorry I haven’t been writing much. Guess you’d have to say words don’t flow well when there is such a large part of me still missing. It will be one year tomorrow since my sister Terry passed away and I just am still not dealing with it very well.
My mother on the other hand is in re-mission for the second time, Thank God!!!
My sister Rita is still struggling with her breast cancer, she underwent a hip replacement last month due to the strong Chemo they used, killed her hip bone.
Still breathless
Still wake up
Teary eyed
Still breathless
The wound is wide
Something happens
I pick up the phone
But I can’t call her
She’s no more at home
Tossed the sand
From the waters shore
A year ago
Goodbyes and more
Her Birthday last Friday
No card to send
No hugs or kisses
For my best friend
Thought it would ease
This pain I feel
But now I know
It’s to damn real
Walking the path
On tomorrow’s dream
She’ll help me heal
In a timeless regime
Heaven must have needed
The best of the best
To take her on
Her Spirit Quest…….

My Mother’s breast cancer is back for the 3rd time, this time it’s in her liver, limp nodes, and breast bone. 6 more months of Chemo and some radio zapping thing.
On the brighter side, my Sister Rita is in remission now and just received her reconstruction.
As for my Sister Terry, I miss her dearly constantly still..

My load is heavy
My mind sedated
