| SAND CASTLES ABANDONED Posted: 4/11/2005 10:42:56 AM | SAND CASTLES ABANDONED
They build them with such great detail Grains of sand formed into simple elegance Standing tall for all to see Showing off their structural brilliance Then the makers leave them there Alone and still throughout the day Knowing that they’ll whither down As weather and water wash them away

| ONLY IT CAN SING Posted: 4/11/2005 9:41:50 PM | Only it can sing
Raindrops on the overhang Beat a rhythm, as they bang Tempos sounding like a drum Empty pot, is where it’s from Filling up, and changing tones Bouncing off the rounded stones Sings the song, only it can sing Giving it that hollow ring Special notes, it plays for all As these sparkling rain drops fall

MY JOURNEY BEGINS TODAY
This morning, I leave for court First legal day of this divorce Thus, my journey begins today New life starts, now of course
Finally getting ourselves settled in Feeling peaceful here at last Making this place into our home Putting behind us, the bitter past
We’ll be fine in the months to come The pain has already started to pass And as him, HE CAN KISS MY ASS !

| SHALLOWS OF THIS ETERNAL CAVITY Posted: 4/13/2005 7:44:31 PM | SHALLOWS OF THIS ETERNAL CAVITY
The air is concentrated, with rancid stench The depths within this eternal trench No exodus to free your errant soul No escaping…. thus…….. No parole Ensnared below, with infinite gravity In the shallows of this eternal cavity Forever destine to revive your past Except nothing has survived your rebel outcast Now here in these walls of humid substance Only you at this point, can decide the credence Temptation brought you to this place Only true faithfulness, can you replace To evoke the thoughts you once contained And now believe in the unexplained

| EAGLES SOARING Posted: 4/14/2005 8:02:11 AM | Good morning all, it's a beautiful view outside my window today. Just thought I'd share.
EAGLES SOARING Viewing their exquisite gesture Very early in the morning light Faultless movements high above I observe the eagles taking flight
Timeless energy they do present Freely soaring to find their prey Searching in continuous circles Performing their task everyday
Wings afloat on currents of air Ever so smoothly they glide Easing upward on slighted scale Rehearsing their effortless ride

| FOOL IN A BOTTLE Posted: 4/14/2005 4:46:45 PM | this was written about 10 years ago for a freind I lost!
A FOOL IN A BOTTLE
It’s time to go now Time to pay our final respects Because he was drinking and driving He didn’t care about the fatal effects
He didn’t think he had drank to much His friends didn’t try to stop him A mile down the road, his head started spinning And his vision grew dim
If the person he was with that night Was really his best friend This could have been prevented For my friend, it became the end
Because of a fool in a bottle My life is no where in tack My friend is gone now Nothing can bring him back

| IMPRINTS Posted: 4/14/2005 5:59:23 PM | IMPRINTS
Feathers left behind Floating on the wind Forgiving us all, for What we’ve sinned
A seraph came down Helping our failing race But the imprints we’ve left She could not erase
Using all her will She tried to do her best Yet, she couldn’t fulfill Her last and final quest
To much hatred To much pain All we do Is all in vain
So she leaves hear With this in mind Remember the imprints You leave behind

| THE COUNTING CHILD Posted: 4/14/2005 9:16:47 PM | THE COUNTING CHILD
Rain relentlessly falling sidelong The wind is blowing the darken cloud Lightning streaking across the sky As thunder rumbles extremely loud
Clashing and banging, till the rise of dawn Rolling towards the counting child Frightened, trembling and shaking inside Staring out at the night gone wild
Hiding under the flannel blanket Eyes only, peering out from the edge Watching and counting the lighted flash That’s bouncing off the windows ledge
Little fingers lifting up, one by one Adding the miles, and keeping score The child remembers the last was three Praying now, one, two, three, four
The child exhales a long held breath Reassurance in this believing That the fading lights and sounds Means the storm is finally leaving

| SILHOUETTE OF TIME Posted: 4/15/2005 8:43:07 AM | SILHOUETTE OF TIME
The outlines begin the day we’re born Lightly lit traces of silhouettes we create Captured in our dark and lonely souls That time gathers and detains the weight
Overlaying the dark with light Gives us possibilities for potential Showing us that various shades Gives opportunity its natural essential

| BEHOLDING EYES Posted: 4/16/2005 9:22:17 AM | BEHOLDING EYES
An inner light to ones natural character One of the doorways to interpret integrity To allow the emotion within to be expressed A glimpse of one’s biological personality
Not always decipherable, in certain cases Although if you take the time to look Most eyes tell the story of their existence You can almost read them like a mental book

| SHE HELD HIM TIGHT Posted: 4/16/2005 6:02:40 PM | SHE HELD HIM TIGHT
She bent down, and cradled his head Wiping his eyes, she held him tight Her tears ran down his paling face Screaming for help, with all her might
People ignored her pleading and begging They just kept walking, like they didn’t care She placed her shirt upon his wound Leaving her skin exposed and bare
No sirens came, no help appeared His blood stopped running down her side She sat there silent now, in disbelief They took his life, just to steal his ride
And all the people, just passed on by Now seeing what people weren’t willing to do She looked towards the sky, and wondered Why couldn’t they have just taken her too

| CRYSTAL TEARS Posted: 4/16/2005 7:55:52 PM | CRYSTAL TEARS
She places the red rose on the top of his stone Sitting down slowly, she talks to him again Not knowing where else to go anymore She says her prayers and says “Amen”
She tells him how lonely she is without him And how life will never be the same for her Wishing she could lay down with him Or have things back the way they were
Though that will never happen, she knows She must continue on by herself forever And the love they shared is lost now She understands her past life, she now must sever
Crystal tears, freezing as they are falling Shine on her face, the reflections of emotions A reminder that life is full of unexpected pain As she lives on with her life’s demotions

| MAINTAINING LIFE Posted: 4/16/2005 10:27:06 PM | MAINTAINING LIFE
So she continues on with her desolated life Never the same, forever without any sensation Going to work, driving her car, or even sleeping She passes through her days, with no real concentration
People speak, and she just nods and turns away While all the while her heart is caving in inside Lost in time, numb to the reality around her Ever since her one and only beloved died
No sense of direction, anesthetized to the future For now she’s living her life in total isolation No trusting or depending on the world to help her out Going forth, with no consciousness of navigation
