Nothing here to hold me, I always said that when I left out west, Mi. was my holding pattern. I am not done seeing the U.S.A. Came home to be with family after mom died, lot of good that did me, 5yrs home, still haven't seen my brother who lives down state, and sis lives up state. Sooooooooo I coulda, shoulda, woulda, turned west instead of east when I left Tx.
Distance is NO problem for me, neither is relocating, BUT, the relocating takes time and patiences, those are 2 things I have plenty of | |

There is always 1/2 way to meet or they might travel to you. Really 1000 miles is an over-nite trip. The most aggrivating thing I find is this 75 mile limit on contacting another. To me, it's insane!
Then there may be as non issue if one is retired as many in our age bracket already are. If retired, is distance a real issue? There are many things to consider. Does love really know a distance? I always thought it could stretch across any distance. | |

I know I said I wouldn't , but he just ticks me off...I think it would have been nice to ask why we have distance restrictions instead of labeling anyone insane..
Don't know what your retirement income is, Jimbaby..but I can't afford the gas to travel from coast to coast whenever I feel like it..
I don't have a yacht, or boat, or whatever you have either..
Tell ya what, if you travel that easily, why not stop here in BC, and show me your yacht?
Then I'll show you mine..
I make enough money to live comfortably, but I never had a silver spoon..I was too busy working at paying taxes... | |

I know family is important, but happiness in our elderly years (not there yet) is important too I guess if I found someone who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, I would do it in a heartbeat!

I think I would put a limit on how far I would move if I met the right man. I would say a days drive would be my limit, like maybe 600 to 1000 miles. Anything more than that would restrict seeing my kids and grandkids. I was 7 years without my son, his wife and my grandkids and they moved to where I am (80 miles from me) this summer. I am so looking forward to the coming holidays with them. If I were wealthy, it would not matter, because I am not afraid of flying on a plane and I don't have wings!  | |
