So far we have controlled diabetes, sight in one eye, controlled G.E.R.D., that messed up hearing aid thing, and then that lung thing that's all healed up.
Is there anything else we need to know before we contact you? Prostrate problems? Ticker still in good working order? All ten toes still? | |

Posted: 9/5/2006 6:52:32 PM | Yeah ... that's the way it is with me too ... unfortunately a lot of men my age just haven't taken such good care of themselves and I end up being able to run circles around them. That really makes them uninteresting as they just basically want to sit around and watch TV for the most part.
I sing (occasionally perform), I dance, I'm still actively working over 40 hours a week, I sew and do cross stitch, will be riding my bike as soon as it cools down a little here in Phoenix, and I seldom eat fast food, so I'm always working in the kitchen on something to either eat right away or make and freeze to use later. | |

exam, I, and the doctor discovered that my sight has improved in my left eye.. I can now distinguish colours and shaped..
But, I failed to mention my addiction!! I am addicted to high risk activities..an Adrenaline
rush is one of the most pleasant of sensations, and, apparently, good for the health..
Maybe, all those knocks weren't so bad, after all.. | |

Posted: 9/5/2006 7:37:12 PM | I'm grateful and blessed with my health. Is it perfect? Nope. If I had to wear glasses, the lenses would say "Coke", that's how thick they are. Thankfully, I can wear contact lenses. I have Hashimoto's disease which means I will be on thyroid pills the rest of my life. I can stand to lose about 20-25 pounds. I have 3 fillings in my mouth. I guess those are my quirks. I am very fortunate.
Each day is a happy one when I wake up in the morning, put both feet on the floor and get moving! | |

years back, and it destroyed my right hip joint. Been on crutches most of

I have posted a few times that I'm Bi-Polar, not ashamed one bit, I didn't ask for, NOR do I want it, but it's here and I deal with it to the best of my ability. I have studied for many yrs, am still studing, I take my meds as I'm supposed to, there isn't one person who meets me that can put a label of Bi-polar on me, they don't have a clue unless I tell them.
The worse for me is my back and neck, I've ALWAYS been VERY strong and ambious(?). I was a painting contracter for 14yrs, my own biz. I did it all by myself, 10yrs of 7 days a wk.
Needless to say it took it's toll on my body, 3 bulging disc in my neck, 2 in my back and good old author hangs with me every day. But I'm proud, or foolish, havent decided. The only meds I take are for the Bi-Polar, and acid reflex. No pain pills whats so ever. Although doc has required I do, I won't, just can't live like that, I'm dingy enough, surely don't need to add to that. | |
