When something has been around for centuries it must have some validly to it.
And why is that so? Why something MUST have validity just because it has been around for centuries? This doesn't follows logic, not to me. People have believed that the sun revolves around the earth for long enough, too. Hold your breath, you have yet to witness other unscientifical myths disproven in the centuries to come. | |

Two people born at the same time in different countries will not be affected the same due to the gravitational pull of the planet, and the outwards radiance of the planets
I bet you're right, a gemini born with a silver spoon in his mouth down the street from Rodeo Drive, compared to some other poor wretch of a Gemini, that was hatched in a mudhut in some impoverished 3rd world country at the same time will likely not share the same characteristics.
But sure, I bet a few people out of an even distriution of say 500 million per sign will fit the mold of their astrological sign, and even fit the little quip of the day .... but note how all these "astrological" writings are sprinkled with "mays", "perhaps", "coulds" ... just a lot of thinly veiled coincidences and power of suggestion for the weak willed who need some higher power to beleive in......... I doubt very highly that because Uranus .... (bad planet to pick, lol) was in my 53rd house at a particular time a meteor shower was eclipsing the southern hemisphere, in conjunction with a lot of other little cosmic burps and farts, caused me to be the sensitive, and ohhhh so sarcastically cynical, nice guy that I am .... | |

About Jesus, Buddha, and any other I've trampled on over my lifespan (including my OWN) I beleive being serious 24/7 leads to inevitable cancers and genital warts. You can talk a serious subject with a lightened atmosphere as well as a serious one... Maybe mars and saturn influence you a bit too much though... so I don't hold it against you.
Now, I've seen that any info given is met with "yeah, but that doesn't prove...blahblahblah" So here, in the best of my abilities, I will describe, in my second and worse language (english), what Astrology is. Brace yourself, this might be long. I will go through steps of abbreviated minor reasoning with you and explain the sum at the end.
First, how can I describe energy flows if you don't beleive in energy flows. Does some radiation not come from the Sun? Hasn't Einstein's theories hypothesised the very plausible possibility of energy being much more "solid" than we anticipated? (at it's molecular level, it does have a mass). So in order to get proof, as you say, whether energy flows exist or not, we would have to prove theories that cannot yet be proved. They hold much validity in the scientific community though, like the E=mcSquared, can't be proven but it works in formulas! So energy flows throughout space. First point.
Second. We are made of chemical components, yes? We are made from a complex chemical formula, that we have not been able to break yet (though are starting to with RNA and DNA). If you were to add a component directly into the fetus, you would change the child from its original heading? Like more carbon, more oxygen, less nitrogen, Cyanide whatever. So if you agree with the fact that when you increase and/or decrease certain chemicals, the human child will be affected, we can continue. We are made from a complex chemical formula, which if altered, can alter us consequentially. Second point.
Third. The Sun emits energy, as do all other large celestial body (look up first point). Different energy types is emited from those celestial bodies whose chemical make-up is different. Now if energy has a mass as Einstein formulates, it can be affected by gravity. How does the heat, the radiation, and solar flares escape the Sun's immense Gravity Field? You can answer, fine, or if you can't, fine again because all we need to know is that it DOES. The energy from the Sun leaves it as does the energy radiating from our atmosphere. It is the same for the other planets and other moons (most "entertainment astrologers" will never attempt the many moons in our solar system moons) Each planet, as our Sun and moons, is of a different make-up (chemically)and emits its own unique energy flow. This energy flow hits the Earth at different strengths depending on where our planet is in comparision with the transmitting planet. Never forget that a celestial body such as a planet, moon, or Star (SUN) is circular, and propels energy in all directions. NOW, THIRD POINT. The propelled energies from the planets, moons, and Sun hit the earth stronger if the transmiting celestial body is closer, and vice versa for farther.
Now the Energy Flows from different intervals of our celestial bodies' orbits affect our chemical make-up slightly enough to keep us healthy, and drastically enough to give us our unique personalities. This explains how someone can tell you about yourself, probably even better than the self can (if they add the moons and all). Now on the timeline and destiny - this would take 80 times more space to explain to you than the above, but I'll try to manage with only a few words that can let you get to the answer yourself.
Quantum Physics and Einstein's theory of relativity. Learn them. According to Einstein, the perseption of time could be altered as well as the outcome of time. Astrology has been around for longer than any have recorded, and is OLD knowledge, gathered from experience, observation, and results. Accirate observations over milleneums = Accurate statistics and FACT. More of fact than many of the illusion we call reality with its theories that we base our world upon (but don't get me started on that) Again, find out a bit more about the many hypothesis on Time, and then ask me again how "energy flows" through space affect destiny...
Next chapter I will talk of the Energy that flows between Human and all life around, including Rocks.

aight.
1. einstein and physics are wonderful stones to throw at any discussion to make it turn all "scientificay" like but having studied both in college, i really can't see what you are getting at.
2. if energy flows from the planets, the sun, and moons into fetuses, to .....er....change their personalities.........it would NOT be the same everytime. (predictible)
3.adding a certain molecular volume of say, oxygen, is NOT going to change the potential personality of a developing fetus, nor the physical makeup.
4. gotcha about being serious. but, other people's gods i do tread lightly on. i've made friends on here, some christian, some wiccan, some probably worship their computer but still.....................i don't want to offend anyone i do care about.
someone would be dense to think that energy did not change matter. i understand that it does ( you might appreciate project HALO's work, might want to google it)
but in a darwinistic style, you've thrown up a theory that...ah..COULD be true, IF there weren't loopholes and gaps.
oh, and long posts don't bother me. i prefer people to put thought into their debates. | |

Makes me think, does termites have astrological signs of their own? What about rats?? Supposing one rat is born in the summer and the other one is born in the winter, because of the different kind of energies flowing from the planets of the solar system and a few rays of them happened to hit those rats accordingly, one rat will bite and the other rat will scurries away when your hand approaches them? | |

THAT was neat!
Cupid was seen when I was in a mixup with a girl who was sort of involved in the business side of things and wanted out....THAT was interesting..AND..I saw it alone after coming hoime form an almost fight over her. Neat stuff.
Scorpio was seen with my neighbours in my dirveway and was also very clear to see.

as for astrology, i do believe it. i get my horoscope emailed to me daily, but i don't take much stock in it. i know it's for entertainmnet purposes.
i'm a libra, with a cancer rising. and, i'm the epitome of both, depending on where i am. i also can get into a discussion about my venus, mars, moon, etc...but i won't.
we are all unique. even though we have the same sun signs, and similar traits, we will always be our own person, as each planet's location at the time of our birth affects our personalities.
and, it's so strange to read up on my other planets, and think, "wow, that IS me!"
i dont' think it's just coincidence, but i can't give you the scientific explanation as to why and how it works. i know it has everything to do with the stars (hence, astronomy/astrology)
but, i have an English degree...not science. ask me about split inifinitives, and we're in business. | |
