There is a good case for both types actually.

The strong silent types are appealing until you find that they actually have nothing to say! Sometimes they are just initially shy - have to give them a chance.

The sense of humour (Canadian spelling) guys are loads more fun and bring out the best in everyone around them. What's not to love with that?

Ah the strong silent comedic type....uh....how does that work exactly? Buster Keaton must have had the ladies swooning.

absolutely a sense of humor. and no i don't mean telling me the 30 jokes he got out of his email today. there is humor and beauty in everything and those "strong, silent" types well ya just never know if they get it or see it. silence may be golden but it's also pretty boring.

Sense of humour - too much of a goof might mean they are using it to mask other emotions. Too silent might mean they are hiding something. Healthy balance of both is nice. Humour is subjective anyway...what's funny to one person is not funny to another.

Definately the outgoing and funny, but it has to be smart humour, quick and witty, but I found that already :)

I'm an extravert big time, someone silent would be miserable with the social butterfly that I am.

I don't see how this has to be an "either-or" type of deal. I prefer to be with someone who is balanced. Having a shared sense of humor, being able to laugh together, is very important. I wouldn't want to be with someone who is joking ALL of the time, though. That could get annoying and frustrating. Also, it would be hard to get to know and really understand someone who is silent most of the time. In a long term relationship, such as marriage, there might be less need to verbally communicate as much as you do in the beginning. Physical strength, being "strong," though, is always an asset! Like someone else already posted, there is a time and place for everything. Sometimes silence is golden and can speak a thousand words, just as humor can help off-set harsh realities of life. It just all depends.

Is this the thread where I get to place my order for the "perfect" man for me? LOL!

Peace!

I'm outgoing, spontaneous and outspoken.... if you can't keep up with me... then forget it. I love a man who has personality and a terrific sense of humor. A big perk is "the voice". Killer smile with an awsome laugh that gives everyone a warm feeling. My dad could laugh so hard he'd have an entire crowd just laughing with him.

A great sense of humor, absolutely!

Hugs

Reading the posts here (and other threads), it almost seems this is an age related thing. That is, the younger the woman, the more she wants a guy to be her personal entertainment center 24/7.

Ill take someone funny..who knows when to be quiet.

Exactly! And that’s what I look for in a woman.

Sense of humor gets my vote!!! But you have be "genuinely" funny, not putting on an act or using corny one-liners.
I like sarcasm and smart humor. A quick wit, as opposed to a nit-wit!

Sense of humor defintately for me too...they are usually better communicators (usually)..I don't like pulling teeth to have a normal conversation, and if we are having an important discussion, strong and silent sucks.
