I must have misinterpreted what you wrote...If so, I apologize...I simply stated if you have ever been personally affected by the actions of an impaired driver or see what the aftermath causes, you wouldn't have stated that comment...I guess you haven't been there because you still don't understand how ignorant it is...'Cops' do get into trouble ~ whether you believe it or not ~ more than the 'norm' of society...If you want to constantly debate on this topic, I have no problem...Just message me though, I don't want to continually bore others...

Posted: 9/25/2006 3:33:46 PM | My daddy is a cop, my mom was a cop, 90% of the people on my mom's side are in the armed forces.......it wouldn't make a difference to me, however I do remember those nights staying up late to make sure that they came home from work!
I would have bags under my eyes all week, but I didn't care as long as they came home every night I was able to sleep.
When you choose to date someone in the armed forces you have to be prepared to deal with all that comes the territory. The stresses, the graveyard shifts, the constant worrying about their safety etc.
It's sexy as hell to say hey 'I'm dating a cop' just know that cops are set in their ways and as much as they try to compromise, you sometimes end up doing most of the compromising. If you are able to get with all that then I say go for it.
I personally would but I would have my reservations, my mom was attacked while on duty one night at the station and my dad was shot twice once in the face (fragments of the bullet is still in his face, if they remove it he could go blind) and once in the leg one the same day. Some scary moments but they both knew what the job entailed and somehow they were able to marry and raise a family in all that mess.

Why would you have any reservations? Just think, you wouldn't have to get up in the middle of the night looking for prowlers... She could take care of them. Ahh, like I did something wrong and I need to be punished..."

I like adventure, and I enjoy stories of odd/bizzarre things that happen. Plus, I have nothing to hide, so let them be suspiscious of my behavior, it would be a waste of an "internal" domestic investigation because she would find nothing at all! Plus I'm always up for a challenge anyways lol | |
