Who care about age, I love older women. Yet they want nothing to do with me becuase they think I am immature becuase I am young or they think it would look bad if they went out with a younger man.

<-------- Last 2 realationships:

18 years younger: Lasted a year and a half. It was one of the best relationships of my life

11 years older: Lasted 6 years and it was one of the better relationships of my life

Age means nothing if the two people involved can ignore what closed minded people say about it. And if they can love each other for who they are, not what age they are... It can be a beautiful thing...

When you ask a question like this you will probably not get an answer that means anything.... if you get my meaning....

This is something you have to address and consider on your own, what other people think is not going to be what you think... unless you let other people dictate what you think.

Younger or older, it has no relation to how I view a potential mate.

This is all subjective and really all you will get is conflicting opinions (like many things in life I’m afraid).

Some people care a lot more with keeping appearances or toting the line and so on.

Some people worry about the incompatibilities that may arise (which are a possibility).

But if you are even considering someone who is older or younger (and I’m not talking like 5 years difference, that’s not enough to be considered older/younger in any sense of the word other than the literal one and not the subjective one), that must mean you have found someone who feels right and in the end, that’s what matters the most.

I would hate to think someone would not pursue someone whom they connect with simply because of age.

Well here goes my 2 cents worth.

I have seen many posts that cover many of the areas that I wonder about.

In my case Peter Pan is my hero and there is always a way to get it to go faster, higher, farther.

Age has never been a big issue on my side. I try not to date younger than my children though.

I just hope that I find the "ONE" someday.

who the hell knows anything from age 18-99? I mean 18-25? Not much? But, in cave man times or pilgrim times...you'd be lucky to make it to 30 or 40 years old..and sorry..but as a candle burning at both ends..I'm not sure I'll like 30-77 as much as I liked 0-30 ;) (if, I make it ) or want too ..peace. mind, heart, soul, body (age)

To me it really doesn't matter as long as you are both comfortable. Age isn't the biggest issue, and it's more the compatibility or the spark. Because plenty of people try to date others the same age and they don't hit it off. You just have to hit it off enough to be more than friends.

I feel most comfortable with younger men. But I think if I dated younger than 30ish, that would be too creepy for me.

I don't have an age range as long as we are both adults. Since I am 30, I would never even consider dating someone 13 years or more younger (duh). But it is very unlikely that I would date someone under 23 or so, not because it's a set in stone limit, but very young women don't tend to go for 30-year-old divorced dudes with a kid. I prefer someone with life experience anyway, whether she is 25, 30, or 40.

My general rule is 7 years in either direction. (I'm 33) There have been a couple exceptions, though. I've gone 8 years older and 9 years younger. (The last one was last year - no jail for me!) Anything more than 10 years difference and I'd feel really uncomfortable.

younger has always been good for me....10 years is my limit though..I've had 2 very fulfilling long term relationships with younger men and loved them...now the older fellow wasn't too bad either....it's all who you feel good with...I usually date younger men and feel very comfortable with them..too young is 11 years younger!!! Or 20...look out!!

I'm a yougner gal (19) and when a guy contacts me who is over abbbout 30 I think of them as iffy. I usually prefer guys that are more around the 20-27 mark but will still talk to guys at least under 35. It really matters how we get along and all that good stuff, I really try not to have hang ups about the whole age thing ... besides the fact that some older guys are just creepy.... I worked as a waitress for a while and it was really gross how some old guys (super using a walker old) think they're hot stuff. But when you enter the age where you could be my dad, that just makes me go huh.

Younger?

It is kinda like in the Movie "When Harry Met Sally" (is that right?) - anyway in the movie Harry's friend is telling a little story about dating this really young gal. And he says (something like) - "It was great for while - for a few weeks - then when the lust wore off we were talking one night - and just to stimulate some conversation, I ask her 'where were you when Kennedy was shot' ? And she screams 'Ted Kennedy" was shot? Right then and there I knew there was a problem?"

Lust is wonderful - but you have to talk to them at some point.

I'd say 10-15 years difference... and there is too big a gap... but in hollywood this rule does not apply. In hollywood there HAS TO BE at least 10-15 years difference. The more money an actor gets, the greater the age gap for a partner. Of course the marriages are only for publicity and not considered long term... they are for marketing new movies or asking for more money per movie.
A young woman who marries a well known hollywood actor makes a trade to make her life PUBLIC for a great sum of child support. Hollywood has its own rules.

One of the most amazing women I'd met in a long time was 26 . We'd talked a long time, and went out on a date one night. I hadn't realized how young she was.

I was 20 years older, and I slowly started to back off. (That's just me, though).

I kept thinking that she'd be my age one day...and I'd be in an urn on the table.

Well with my experience with the younger men they are only good for one thing ;) As women we need to realize it is true that men are so much immature when it comes to anything more then a sexual relationship. So if that's what your looking for I say go for it! However if you want someone that respects you more then just in the bedroom I say look for an older one and hope they have their crap together in life!

Hi
Why would any girl younger than you want with a divorced man with three kids when there are plenty of hot young guys to play with until they are ready to settle down.

dmcdonald, it can go both ways. Why should a single guy go for an older woman with kids even if they want to settle down. I'm 37 made a point of not even looking to get married until my mid 30's. Now if I want a woman close to my age they generally have kids and are no longer interested in having more. Younger woman in there mid to late 20's are at least more open to having more children. Age difference breaks down to whatever works best for each person individually.

I am 28 years old and my age line travels with me as I age.
Right now--> 23-33 years old

When I turn 29 it will be 24-34 years old.

I just find that this is a good system for me.

Why must age be such an issue? Disregard age. Is there mutual attraction? Are you both on the same level for what you're looking for? Then go! Granted, I am more liberal-minded on a lot of subjects than most people...

Age is just a number provided they are legal. I don't suggest dating an 18 year old but if there are things in common, what's wrong with it? I am 35 and have dated 23 year olds and no one seems to have a problem with it. A man dating a 23 year old all of a sudden becomes a sicko in today's society (it seems). However, if you are only dating them to get in their pants then, that's totally another topic. I have found that dating younger guys, we just don't have anything in common. I need someone to stimulate my mind, as well as my body and one or both is lacking in most cases.
