I take it that your feelings were hurt by people who consider
themselves better looking than you?
Anyhow, I have been insulted on my looks many times, online,
but mostly in real life.
I will admit it can hurt sometimes, and sometimes I just let it ride,
because I am not trying to impress the person who bashed me.
Once I declined to go out with a guy on POF, and he wrote back
and was making bad remarks about my weight.
In life you will find people who have to build their egos up by
putting others down, they do this due to insecurities.
Now, on the other hand, I have also been complimented many times
in my life about my looks........
I think you have to stay away from people whom you are not comfortable
around.

You know Prophet, after reading the above; I have to disagree with you.
Check this girl out; she has been hurt by someone's rude remarks regarding her appearance and weight. Yet she celebrated the poor taste, I-am-not-smart-enough-to-express-my-disagreement-unless-I-make-a-twelve-year-old-remark wich was the response from Brytenyte no less.

Ironically, and without a doubt 'brytenyte' had probably already made equally unintelligent remarks about your appearance and my big ass. So again, you could have saved yourself the time you took to re read at your mad attempt to understand what OP has eloquently written here. Obviously, a waste of your time...
However, I can almost bet, that you did understand what you read and what is even worse, you just proved that nowadays you need not be a model to be as vain and as cruel. 
To those of you criticizing OP's written eloquence, well, I really think he knew just the type of people that would be responding. However, he had extremely high expectations from your vocabulary skills.  
But hey Prophet, some of us did understand what you meant; probably the ugly ones huh?   | |

I haven't meant many people from dating sites, and none of them looked like their picture. It didn't bother me at all. Ok, one did.
You speak of honesty, but I find your profile to be rather dishonest. You have three pictures on it. The first two look like the same person, the third looks like a totally different person. Nothing wrong with any of them, but they aren't all the same person or you have gained a lot of weight. I think if you are into total honesty, you should keep the one that looks most like you do in real life. | |

Now we have all been hurt before and it is not easily fogotten for a lot of people. How can people respond in a negative way to him when they won't take the few extra min. and really read what he is saying. Hang in there Prophet, some of us do understand what you are saying. | |

i'm seeing an eeeeeeego trip here! and pal, the jesus look went out with the 60s, man, so maybe, like, uh, get a hair cut and a bread trim? you're not Jesus, you know?
Personally I am not seeing an ego trip. As to his hair, I think it looks great. Went out with the 60's? Maybe you should stop being such a slave to fashion. | |
