| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/9/2007 6:13:07 AM | I thought you had to put [ ] at the start of what you wanted quoted, and [/] at the end of it????
correct, but in between the brackets you have to put the word "quote" without the inverted commas.. at the end after the forward slash you put the word "quote" again without the inverted commas.

| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/23/2007 2:34:42 AM | Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip. That started from this tropic port, aboard this tiny ship. The mate was a mighty sailin' man, the skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day, for a three hour tour, a three hour tour……… The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew, the Minnow would be lost; the Minnow would be lost. The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle, with Gilligan, the Skipper too, the Millionaire, and his Wife, the Movie Star, the Professor and Mary Ann, here on Gilligan's Isle.
( lol, you will all be singing this in your heads now)
smile
oh and the hardy boys and nancy drew
was Leif Garrett in the hardy boys???

| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/23/2007 2:36:45 AM | Oh and for those of you who dont know the second verse of gilligans island song
So this is the tale of our castaways, they're here for a long, long time. They'll have to make the best of things, it's an uphill climb. The first mate and his skipper too, will do their very best, to make the others comfortable, in the tropic island nest. No phones, no lights, no motor cars, not a single luxury. Like Robinson Crusoe, it's primitive as can be. So join us here each week my friend, you're sure to get a smile. From seven stranded Castaways, Here on Gilligan's Isle.
Does that make me super nerdy.......lol

| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/24/2007 7:41:04 AM | Whatever I wasn't allowed to watch. Prisoner, Dave Allen, Benny Hill. Mum and Dad had a TV in their bedroom where they'd watch stuff after we'd gone to bed, and the toilet door was beside their bedroom door, so I'd ...linger...in the doorway on the way in until I'd hear...."Kiiiiiiim". Then I'd declare my complete innocence in simply being up to use the loo. I'm sure that sort of early behaviour would be seen to contribute to the formation of the troubled adult I am today. | |

| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/24/2007 8:59:19 AM | Oops, showing my decrepit age here, but the first programmes I can remember watching and loving were (gulp) The Three Stooges; Shintaro (The Samurai), The Munsters; The Addams Family; The Patty Duke Show; The Monkees - and anything with the Beatles in, love love LOVE. Think Countdown was a big favourite too.
Then, bad luck, moved to NZ, with only one channel, and my favourite one over there was called Catweazle. I'm still hoping to track down a DVD copy of it to show my kids.

| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/24/2007 9:01:56 AM | | /\ /\ /\ Roses I remember Catweazle...wild beard....the little noises he made when using lightswitches...hee hee...but I found him a bit creepy. What was that all about anyway? | |
|
| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 2/25/2007 1:01:59 AM | Catweazle was as mad as a brush, absolutely sero social skills, lol. But then again, he was a medieval wizard who cast a spell to enable him to fly, but he was flung all the way into the 20th century instead. I don't think I've ever seen the actor who played him in anything else.
Bud Tingwell was in it as well, can't remember who he played though. I've got the books of the TV series, and my girls absolutely adored them as bedtime stories, they are pretty funny.
