Wrangler Jane was my first love, & Corporal Agarn was my favorite character

My favourite in F Troop was Captain Wilton Parmenter - such an idiot.

Does anyone remember "Adventure Island" on the ABC. Probably one of John Michael Howson's first jobs but no mistaking him.

When I was growing up we only had two channels - the local one and ABC - so we tended to get a lot of news - Local, Sydney, oh and don't forget the stock reports

Loved Lost in Space; Homicide; Matlock Police; Division 4; The Sullivans and probably numerous others.

^ yes was shown here...I only vaguely remember it though
The Banana Splits was great...1 banana, 2 banana, 3 banana, 4....I still remember the theme song
Does anyone remember "Adventure Island" ....yes, I do
I also liked F Troop, My Favourite Martian, Lost in Space, Catweasle, Gilligans Island, The Flinstones, Young Talent Time - I was given their record for my 12th birthday from my parents & I still have it. I also enjoyed Blankety Blanks.

Blankety Blanks...Shoal that brings back memories. My Mum would get all awkward and try not to laugh when Noelene, Crazy Dave and Graeme got all risque, if us kids were in earshot of the tele. How tame it would probably all sound now.

Yes!!! I always felt sorry for Strop, and it was years before I realised he was putting it on. (not a terribly bright child, me, lol) Hoges looks a bit more plastic these days.

Well here goes a ...... a trip down memory lane for me:

1. Cartoon - GIGANTOR - a robot controlled by a kid

2. TV Show - Bionic Man - how he could jump so high and through that steel post with the concrete still attached to the base in every 3rd show and then we had the Bionic Woman with whom they had the bionic dog as well.

3. I recall a series called the LOST ISLAND - made in the 70's by channel 10 of a group of aussie kids who went on a sailing adventure and ended up in a penal island colony some where. There was always a mysterious hooded character controlling things.

4. Knight Rider was cool because with the curly big hair, leather jacket and cool car every teenage boy wanted to be as cool as Michael Knight and KITT

Howdy everyone! My first post on here - and this seems a nice place to put it.

I've been reading through everyones favorite shows as a child - it was a stroll down memory lane for me. I loved so many programs - and you guys have reminded me of a lot of my favourites.

Kimba The White Lion
Sigmund the seamonster
Young Talent Time
Emergency (oh I was so in love with the dark haired paramedic)
Dukes of Hazzard
Knight Rider
Follyfoot (I was in love with Steve too)
Black Beauty (hated Vicki - she had MY black beauty!)
Mash
Gilligans Island
I dream of Jeannie/Bewitched
V (start of my sci fi love!)
Lost In Space

.....mmmm I'm thinking I watched a lot of TV as a kid - I can't seem to stop! Ha Ha.

Nice to meet everyone and share these lovely memories!

You're not old! I just checked out your profile and you're way too sexy looking to be old.

My favorites were space shows, like Lost in Space and Star Trek when it came along.

"The Girl From Tomorrow" - I loved it !!! I used to run around the house with a plastic headband on my forehead pretending it was a "transducer".

It also had good old John Howard in it (the actor, not the a***hole), with long hair and no beer belly!! Ah those were the days

I wasn't child when that was on, but I did enjoy the girl from tomorrow. I hear the girl herself sings in a band nowadays, must look into it
