Wrangler Jane was my first love, & Corporal Agarn was my favorite character
My favourite in F Troop was Captain Wilton Parmenter - such an idiot.
Does anyone remember "Adventure Island" on the ABC. Probably one of John Michael Howson's first jobs but no mistaking him.
When I was growing up we only had two channels - the local one and ABC - so we tended to get a lot of news - Local, Sydney, oh and don't forget the stock reports
Loved Lost in Space; Homicide; Matlock Police; Division 4; The Sullivans and probably numerous others.

My Mum would get all awkward and try not to laugh when Noelene, Crazy Dave and Graeme got all risque, if us kids were in earshot of the tele. How tame it would probably all sound now.

| What was your favorite television show as a child Posted: 5/3/2007 6:27:43 PM | Well here goes a ...... a trip down memory lane for me:
1. Cartoon - GIGANTOR - a robot controlled by a kid
2. TV Show - Bionic Man - how he could jump so high and through that steel post with the concrete still attached to the base in every 3rd show and then we had the Bionic Woman with whom they had the bionic dog as well.
3. I recall a series called the LOST ISLAND - made in the 70's by channel 10 of a group of aussie kids who went on a sailing adventure and ended up in a penal island colony some where. There was always a mysterious hooded character controlling things.
4. Knight Rider was cool because with the curly big hair, leather jacket and cool car every teenage boy wanted to be as cool as Michael Knight and KITT

My favorites were space shows, like Lost in Space and Star Trek when it came along.

It also had good old John Howard in it (the actor, not the a***hole), with long hair and no beer belly!! Ah those were the days
