Stupid, useless, addictive, hope.

| People addiction Posted: 10/8/2006 10:53:04 AM | Yes, I am with you. Although I hate to admit it...it is addicting. What is not to like? Endless chatter about virtually any topic...albeit, most topics here are quite "popish", but entertaining nonetheless. We only "talk" when WE are in the mood...
We can offer our opinions, virtually unscathed. Finish this with daily e-mails from (mostly) friendly people who want to chat, meet and who think that you are great looking and smart (at least on the surface lol) ..
yeah (sigh) This is what I tell myself anyway....

I've met a few cool folks on here.... but I must say that the forums keep me coming back!! There are so many different views on things .... some I can relate to, others I can't. But variety is the spice of life......
So, yeah, guess I'm addicted. lol

| POF addiction Posted: 10/8/2007 2:15:59 PM | I just like to see how many i can catch. I gave up on looking for the "right" one a while ago. | |

| POF addiction Posted: 10/8/2007 2:22:06 PM | I keep coming back because of the diversity that I would never have the opportunity to enjoy were I not on a site such as this.
Oh yes, there is Face.book, My.Space and all the other interactive sites.
However, POF does have forums and is far reaching with it's membership.
I am not so sure I will find the one that I will settle into an exclusive relationship with on this site; nevertheless, the journey is a fascinating one.
The singles events in Alberta are constant and one does have ample opportunity to meet people in milieus that are conducive to socializing.

| POF addiction Posted: 4/24/2008 9:15:22 PM | I've become addicted to POF myself. I'm spending way too much time on here both at home and at work. There's only one solution: to the women of POF, you have to offer to marry me.

| POF addiction Posted: 7/1/2008 2:34:25 PM | I'm a writer with a very busy schedule. I'm trying to get out more, even date, but when I'm worn out from pounding out the latest few pages on the laptop, I check in and read the forums a lot and do some browsing. Not browsing as much at the moment due to someone I have my eye on, but I'm still here reading the forums and occasionally posting to them. They're endlessly entertaining and even intriguing. | |

| POF addiction Posted: 5/8/2009 4:30:35 PM | | Yeah, I'm on here too much as well lately. Especially the forums! Time to move on I think. | |

| POF addiction Posted: 5/8/2009 7:02:38 PM | I am addicted to the FORUMS! I think they are interesting, plenty of useful information, amusing/hilarious/funny/entertaining, for a daily dose of reality.
I think the forums are interesting and it provides different points of views and insights into a wide variety of issues.

| POF addiction Posted: 7/6/2009 2:38:44 AM | | most people like attention...the slight thrill as you see new messages in your inbox can overtime become the thing you look forward too and therefore you spend more and more time on here...not everyone does the forums... the trick is to recognise that you may have a problem, and go back into the real world full of real people and not cyber buddies.... i often wonder what you can talk about ... endless emails etc... with someone you have never met ? do we just go on to flirt? are we genuninely interested in strangers lives? or is it really boredom? i can understand people who work odd hours and they get bored or lonely in the night but who wants to be emailing at 330 in the morning?... why do people who find someone still trawl ? can you ever break the addiction? | |

| POF addiction Posted: 7/6/2009 4:00:35 AM | | I just like to check things out, and then disappear for awhile into the real world. LOL | |

| POF addiction Posted: 7/6/2009 1:55:03 PM | POF is entertaining! Forums are one of my main reasons I'm still here. Addicted?? I do check in here for a while almost everyday, but I won't say I get a sick feeling being without a dosage of POF Most people on here are great both on and off the forums! I know its still best to know the outside world, yet POF is more entertaining than what I find on T.V!! | |

| POF addiction Posted: 7/6/2009 6:54:21 PM | It sort of is addicting for the ego boost factor. It's nice to have guys give you compliments. You're feeling down and POW! there is a mailbox of guys telling you you're pretty or funny, whatever.
It only becomes an issue when you are part of a couple & the other person cannot/will not demonstrate their seriousness by deleting their profile. Anyone else have that happen?

| POF addiction Posted: 7/6/2009 8:22:37 PM | | i know what you're saying! I've only been on here for maybe a month or 2 i think [or not much longer] and I'm already over searching for someone. I just log on to read the forums lol! | |
