As to ppl being attracted to me I dont seem to have a problem with attracting men...........but I have come across the ones that are attracted to me but because of the way society would look at them they dont want to date me. Which is fine....because there are plenty of those who do date me!!!
As for those who say they are not attracted to fuller figures............all I can say is you dont know what your missing! | |

Posted: 9/17/2006 12:32:29 PM | I am pigeonholed into the BBW category although I prefer to think of myself as cuddly and voluptuous and after being a member here for several months I have to say that most men appear to prefer slimmer more conventional sized women and therefore wont even talk to a "fuller figured lady" to find out her personality.
All I can say to these men is "You dont know what you are missing" 
The other perception of bbw's, as previously mentioned by another message, is that we should be grateful for any man that gives us any attention, well thats another myth.
There are men out there that love the curvier woman and therefore we ca also be choosy.
I also have some sites specifically for the fluffier figured woman if anyone would like to email me I would be happy to share their addys.

Posted: 9/17/2006 12:42:57 PM | Personaly I prefer smaller people. I feel that I need to be attracted to the person more at the start and I simply don't see myself with someone overweight or to big.
I usually say size 14 and less but saying that I have had girlfriends size 18 and less who were good for me and it was something else that moved us apart.
One good thing about bigger people is that most of them seem to have hearts of gold and are better in relationships.... perhaps I should remove my size preferances. | |

I also agree that sadly this site does seem to have quite a lot of men who are quite willling to meet on the quite ..ie where no one knows him lol.....But they know where they can go and do......Yes Brighton peach if only they took time out and actualy spoke to us and got to know us for our personality and not for how they would look with a big person in front of there friends they would realise that we have fantastic personalities and have feelings and emotions just the same as any other women........ | |

That was a very brave and honest comment, to which I can only ask "Why should you?" You are obviously pleased with the way you are, both in build and in personality, so why should you wish to amend your body weight (in either direction)?

Edit: Vin....................I wouldnt say I was pleased with my size. I'm content for now because I know that in the last 2 years I have dropped 2 stone. Which for me is fantastic.....(I have medical conditions which I will not go into right now that made me put on so much weight in the first place)..........and yes I agree I am brave and honest about myself. The reason for changing myself is not so that I can get a date (never had a problem with that) but its a health issue for me and its for me alone! I would never change myself to make me more attractive to a bloke and neither would I expect a bloke to change themselves for me!

I then politely tell them that I am not what they are looking for and happy hunting, to which I often get a grovel back as they try and claw back into my good books.
Why state preferences if the boundaries are not clear? Leave it open and that way when you see someone you like who may not be in the 'norm' for your type, you're not alianating yourself from them.
I used to always say I liked dark haired guys, but i'd be lieing if I said I haven't been attracted to a few blondes, why would I want to discourage another blonde from talking to me? You never know who is going to walk round that corner and rock your world! | |
